Paul's Pattern of Thanksgiving: a summary of Paul's introductions. This is a sermon I preached on Sunday night at Gethsemane Baptist Temple on November 26, 2023. I looked at how Paul began each of his church letters, and then I showed that the way he departed from that pattern in Galatians shows what he is most thankful for: the gospel of Jesus Christ.

lol, oh son. Christopher made this script and video entirely on his own. He told me his thoughts on what the iPod touch should be like. I told him he should tell Tim Cook. Christopher said that Tim Cook wouldn't reply, but I said, "You never know; Craig Federighi replied to one of my emails one time." 2021 Christmas Message from my children (the oldest one did the recording). My son Christopher wanted to make a new video similar to the one they did in 2016 (see link below). All I did was the editing with iMovie; they did the rest. Beautiful Bible, a real find at the price you paid. Even all these years later, the price of this pocket Concord is £195.00 here in the UK, that's about $250.00. Cambridge do still sell the 'Pocket Reference Edition' which is almost the same size, but does not have the Concord text. Thank you for the video.
Brother I don't seem to find a good pen for this Bible. I got mine a week ago. I am very scared to use a ball point as it will smudge over time. As you have mentioned that this Bible is 8 years old can you please let me know what pen you have used. Sadly we don't get pigma Microns here. I tried to order on Amazon and they sent me some cheap counterfeit ones twice.

Thanks for your post. I have a KJV Pitt Minion Reference Bible that I purchased at a store in Waukegan in June 1963. That bible has travelled with me across most of the Pacific Ocean but remains in excellent condition to this day. A label on the inside cover describes the cover material as Morocco leather.

Jesus loves you! I have a E1L Outdoorsman with a KL1 head..it only has one single output mode. I bought it used, do you know how many lumens I’m getting out of this? I’m having trouble finding the answer online. Thanks
I tried looking but could not find an exact reference. You can google KL1 head, but it looks like theres been a few versions so the lumen count was different. Sorry I can’t help more.

In Britain they would make you wear gloves to handle such an old bible.
several people have commented along the same lines… but this was in a very secure room with guards at the rare book library at Yale. They had a bunch of rules to follow… but gloves were not one of them

not sure how well your eyes are but think of it along the lines of reading the line "this note is legal tender for all debts…" on the front of a one dollar bill. hope that helps
@@tonywalker23 yeah, that actually does help. I just looked at a dollar at different distances and can somewhat comfortably read it. So long as the lighting is decent. Shame the font can’t be a bit bigger though. But for the portability something has to be sacrificed, and I’m sure it will be easier to read on a white page instead of a green dollar bill though.

Can you put the edc head on the back up body?
it will fit but I am not sure how the light will operate since the edc head is made for a twisty tail cap and the backup head is made for a clicky tailcap. sorry for now being able to help you better. the CPF LED forums will probably have an answer.
I bought a Surefire flashlight for myself for Christmas. So, it failed within two weeks. I just bought two Bell and Howell Tac Lights. 1/6 the price. Fool me once.... Have a great day.

I am so confused about why you would use your bare hand to flip the pages of a historical book. You might as well burn it. Your hands have oils and other substances oil them that will eventually destroy the book. Please stop turning the pages.
I am surprised as well. However, when I visited the rare book library at Yale University, the librarians only rule was no pens allowed in the viewing room, just pencils. The officers were there to ensure everyone follows the rules, and they provided the foam pieces to keep the book from opening all the way… thanks for watching.
Apparently, it's safer to touch antique books with bare and very clean hands than with gloves. Google it.

Tony I'm looking to get a new Bible and I want one that the words do not go down in the gutter... Would I be ok with the Normal sized Concord or would I be better off with this? Size does not matter to me I have a small carry bible already. I just cant stand having a Bible the words go down into the gutter when I lay it down flat on the table, for small Bibles its ok I can just hold them and move my hand a little, but big bibles laying on a table it drive me mad haha, I'm weird. 😂
if you didnt need the wide margins, I would probably tend to say the regular concord. but, I don’t have one anymore to compare with the wide margin. google and look for pictures and videos of the regular concord and see if it would work. also check out evangelical bible dot com. they have lots of pictures on their site of all their bibles.

That story about the man who was quiet but had an answer if you had a question about the Bible is something that we can all take a lesson from. I have a feeling that The Word would be better spread if we didn’t have such an abundance of arrogant loud-mouths who divide rather than unite. thank you for the comment. I made this video many years ago, so I don’t recall the specific part about the man who was quiet. but, the older I get the more wisdom I think there is in a quiet humility that has confidence in God's word. I know someone right now who comes to mind like that.
Even to this day, I still miss listening to The Bible Podcast. But I totally understand that just as technology changes over the years so do people's lives, opportunities, family priorities, etc. Thanks for sharing... This brought back memories for me 😀
I want so bad to restart it. but it has been a busy stretchchchchchch. Have four kids now, working at a church full-time, also taking Mdiv classes at local college, and just took over the media ministry at our church in addition to youth pastoring. but you have no idea how often I think about or talk to my wife about how much I miss those third shift years spending the nights alone studying and recording TBB on my little PowerBook. You may not be interested or may be in this paper I wrote, but in the introduction I talk about those TBB years. I think you'll enjoy it. thanks for the comment.
