And when I got to this one and realized that he could just kill any genre, that's pretty much when I was sure I was a RENegade. For me, this one was just fun from beginning to end. The flow switches, the beat, the location, and Ren just cutting loose and being Ren - never gets old! As for the haters, as others have said, ignore 'em. I've learned so much about music listening to people like you who are real musicians talking about how certain sounds might be produced - it's fascinating. You'll never hear me dunk on curiosity - it's one of the best qualities a person can have!
I think some of Ren’s fans are overly protective of him and his music. They adore him and can’t tolerate any real or perceived criticism. Maybe it helps to understand that as you get those comments. Ren has said he uses EQ and compression and he clearly loves reverb whether it’s from the natural surroundings or added in afterward. I’m happy you’re reacting to Ren and hope you won’t stop just because of a few comments.
