Ren's "What You Want" is an homage to early 90s hip-hop-especially Beastie Boys if you like that. It’s a fun one.

Yeah, Ren changes the pocket constantly. He might be doing it even more nowadays. "Seven Sins" is his most recently written rap and that'll make your head spin with the frequent change-ups.
Great recommendation! Seven Sins is a masterpiece to me, def my fav of his new album.
Literally a Frankenstein Monster of a song.
He started making beats when he was 12 but he lived in a tiny town in Wales. He couldn't find anybody to sing over them so he started singing himself.

When he raps at the 1990 Crime Scene Lyrics, that is straight out "Red Hot Chili Peppers" - "Can't Stop" I believe in his "Losing It" tune has homage to the "Beastie Boys" also. Really Fun Reactions! ✌✌

the beat at the end sounds similar to the end beat of Beck's 'Loser'... not the same though but similar vibes. If you've not checked it then you might like Money Game Part 2. And you can see the Beastie Boys influence on Ren's 'What you want'.
This is just Ren flexing. Wicked Ways, Masochist, Uninvited etc are all favorites but Ren is just incredible. I'm going down Falling in Reverse rabbit hole, try Watch the World Burn if you're feeling froggy. Subbed

Ren does whatever he wants. Truly independent. Low budget videos, keep in mind. He recycles costumes, etc.
To me, this is deliberately a Frankenstein’s monster mash up of different beats and flows - which is what he says he’s going to do at the start “Blind I design rhymes, intertwined, double time, I made a monster…” …he’s talking about this track and he does the walk and movements like the monster to make it clear - because Frankenstein made his monster by chopping up different bodies and mashing them together - and Ren is deliberately doing that with the different pockets and flows.
So we get technical bits, double time bits, slow lyrical bits, braggadocios schemes, nostalgic bits, beat boxing…he throws the kitchen sink, and all the other household plumbing into this one track.
Genesis is a great rap REN to check out next. There are two versions: the original and an amazing a cappella version. Genesis might hang together better for you guys. ❤

If you're going to do Tales, you do all 3 in the Trilogy: Jenny, Screech, Violet. There's a 13:31 video that combines them in correct order. Everyone will be disappointed if you break it up into more than one video.

I try to catch it when people suggest ‘violets tale ’ alone. And warn against it. That’s just a trouble maker as the song was written last and it adds to the Jenny and Screech set. The Renegades usually suggest that reactors take the time to do Jenny and Screech (full) which includes Violet in the right place.
If you haven’t yet recorded you might as well do that, or viewers will forever be telling you that you’ve missed V.

Problem is you can’t do them live because they’re usually copyrighted. Honestly, we don’t react to the stuff we REALLY listen to in most cases for that reason. Or ya would be getting plenty Fred the God and Griselda
@@AlmostJokingPodprice one pays for loving talent that's not independent, but as a Ren/Harry fan, I do think sometimes reactors get bombarded by a clusterf*ck of fans, and though the enthusiasm can be good for the sub counts, it can screw with the algorithm and alienate your OG base. Plus, just like you, I like seeing artists that I wouldn't have seen otherwise (sh*t, that's how I found out about Ren), so just do you, guys.. the stuff YOU like, and you'll find that although us RENegades can seem somewhat rabid, we in the end appreciate real talent.. and the creators who make the introduction.

Yeah but that’s the thing. You don’t know the license until you upload which you can’t see when you’re live. We got a live chopped for it already and had to fight it. We try to those ones offline

So his full catalog is sick.
Every hip hop head I know who's into Ren likes one of his non hip hop tracks as their favorite Ren joint.

Come on guys, it's okay to actually think about music when listening to it. Saying the artist is doing too much because they don't follow easy bake oven schemes is dangerously close to sounding like a slimey music executive.
What if what you think is they’re doing too much? We are artist too. Sometimes as an artist it’s possible to do too much. If you enjoy it fine. That’s music not everybody enjoys the same thing
