    Ricciardo was right behind Tsunoda from about 15 laps into the race, his pace was only similar because he helped Tsunoda by following him as a rear gunner. Ricciardo was quite a bit faster.

      ooh that is a good point. Hopefully we will see them side by side in the last 2 races to properly judge them

      Look at the fastest laps on the ranking, I think Ric did the 3rd or 4 lap time. would've loved to see what he could've done if he had a chance to unlap himself 😢

    Thanks for putting me on the thumbnail, also for a bit more context, I think with Leclerc in the race the gap between Merc and Ferrari should be down to 9 points instead of 20, with Leclerc finishing ahead of Stroll.

      No problem :) completely agree though that Ferrari could be right there with Mercedes in the championship

    I hate it when people say about Lando. I will regard him as the real deal when he has won a race. It is so car dependent and in an age when one man in the fastest car win the majority of races it ends up as luck or Max getting a puncture. How many second places does Lando need to be regarded as a driver capable of going for a championship given a top car. Alonso that has been lauded for the last two laps hasnt won a GP in ten years! Nobody says he has to start winning again as a precursor for being taken seriously.

    Thing about Lando getting dotd is it can turn fans against him even though he did nothing wrong. Happens all the time where drivers fans are the reason other fans don't like certain drivers. He's my fav driver but I vote for him when he earns it. His race was mega this week. If he would have pitted instead of staying out on mediums, the gap to max I think would have been less than 5 seconds. Rarely happened this season.

    The difference with Mazepin and Latifi vs Stroll is that their daddies didn’t own the team… if it wasn’t for that I doubt he’d still be in F1

    • @NotApplicableF1
      @NotApplicableF1  Před 6 měsíci +1

      That is a very good point. Although Mazepin was apparently very close to owning quite a lot of the Haas team

    Leclerc....don't be the next Jean Alesi.

    Alonso did a masterclass at the final lap but did a desasterclass at the start of the race 🤷‍♂️

    Great video. Also you might be shocked but in a disgusting way I have know someone name willf1sv5 he said very controversially that more than half of the drivers of the grid for next year should be sacked he said the drivers are Sargeant, Lance Stroll, Kevin Magnussen, Valterri Bottas, Zhou Guanyu, Sergio Perez and Esteban Ocon. What is your take on this?

  • @marcusmccall8896

    George is intolerable, and ever team has a number 1 whether they admit it or not. George isn't number 1.

    • @NotApplicableF1
      @NotApplicableF1  Před 6 měsíci +5

      But he is absolutely desperate to be the number 1

    Leclerc “was” a better driver when he first joined F1, but now Sainz is better. Leclerc can just qualify and do things that waste his tires faster really well.

    • @unnamedunbekannt1691
      @unnamedunbekannt1691 Před 6 měsíci +1

      Then why is it that Leclerc is often the one with better tire life? See Qatar sprint for example.
