- The 2023 United States Grand Prix was not a race packed with high-octane overtakes and crashes, but was a race exciting through varying pit stop strategies between the race-leading protagonists. Max Verstappen gave himself work to do starting from sixth place, and rose to the occasion by working his way into the lead of the race by the midway point through both pit stop strategies and daring overtakes. It was his 50th win in Formula 1 and he is looking poised to end the season 3rd on the all-time wins list at this rate. Lewis Hamilton originally finished 2nd with another great drive in the United States but was disqualified along with 6th place Charles Leclerc for a failed post race plank check. This meant Lando Norris finished 2nd for McLaren in his 100th race in Formula 1, and Carlos Sainz picked up a podium at the expense of his teammate.

unpopular opinion, NOR did not deserve the DOTD imo, he started 2nd finished 3rd on the 3rd fastest car, pretty expected, with no REAL threat from SAI , I'd rather have it to HAM for challenging max after a bad pitstop and strat, or stroll for pitlane to points(could've been ALO), ideally VER for p6 to p1 with brake issues for majority of the race but we all know people are gonna credit the car and not the combo of him and the car.DOTD to NOR for no particularly good moves.
Me as a Lando fan, agree. I was suprised when he had 31% in the race. I mean it dropped to 25% after but still. Wish i had voted for Logan 😂

Amazing video and very helpful. Just wanted to request maybe you could have added some more of the reaction for each scene and potentially the laps before the end where lewis was catching max but ran out of time.
I definitely left out more than usual near the end of this race because I don't want the video to drag out too long, for some reason this was already the longest video of the season by far despite the race not being super chaotic

as a non British fan I love hearing British fans complain how boring it is having one guy win everything. they've been pretty smug for a while. I don't know any dutch people thought, so I don't have anyone to laugh at in four years when someone else starts winning

I still watch this channel because I prefer English over Dutch when it comes to race commentators.
Even the sky sports commentators, although they start to suck more often lately.
Once you chase them away, they won't come back anymore, not even to your individual channels.
Ofcourse you have your favorites but a little bit of neutral comments from your side would be appreciated, or maybe you just don't care?
