So hyped for this. I'm from Pittsburgh and was so there at the warped tour where Joel had his seizure that was induced by excessive drinking and the heat and inspired this song. They were set to play next and I was at the stage and some stage hand came on and just said basically "sorry due to circumstances TAA will not be performing" so glad he got better and they're still going strong
Just saw they are coming back to Pittsburgh in May I'm so hyped for it

In fact, The Amity Affliction has become one of my all time life changing metal bands that I've discovered. Helped me through some of my roughest days and made me much stronger than before.
What I love about this young man's channel is his aditude, he's so genuinely happy, and wants everyone to feel the same. The positivity he brings is just remarkable. Keep up the great work fam!
Man im officially a member of Gibby gang. Love how you break down stuff and yourself are inspiring. I am an addict but am currently sober. Trust me when i say going through treatment the withdrawls you literally feel like you want to die. Ive never been more sick and on top of that so depressed. Literally felt like greiving for a lost loved one. You feel like that incline is never gonna end and you'll be suffering forever. I didnt think i could do it which is why i was so scared to get help cause i tried doing it on my own. Just get help like you said it does plateau and after that plateau you start noticing the little joys in life. The sun shines a little brighter. Much love man love your reactions

I used to listen to this song religiously when I was in the military. Luckily my sister was there and understood when I told her this was my favorite song. She's helped me a lot and I'm glad she is with me

Pittsburgh is where the singer nearly passed away from drugs/alcohol while on tour. This band is all about addiction, depression, anxiety, losing loved ones to suicide and somehow find a way to mix it all together and sound amazing.

Its called Pittsburgh because they were on Vans Warped tour when he had is Seizure and they were on the Pittsburgh stop.
This band has such an influence on me. This band was the band that got me into metalcore and the album that this song is off of, Let the Ocean Take Me, is the one album where I could listen to every song without skipping it influenced me to get my first tattoo and was specifically based off this album.

The song was inspired from a incident that happened to Joel in I believe 2012 on the Pittsburgh date of warped tour, where Joel was dehydrated and passed out and cause a seizure do too excessive amount of heat exposure

The reason it's titled "Pittsburgh" is because it's a rite of passage in the metalcore scene to have a song title that includes the name of a city, you're not a legit metalcore band if you don't at least have one.
