I baked this cake to use an oversupply of walnuts. It baked beautifully. Thank you for your clear and precise instructions. It is always a pleasure to follow your recipes because they NEVER fail. My family and I thank you for your generosity ❤️
your video is better than most videos out there, including epicurious!!! many don't mention using oil, cloves or pouring the honey in the cup after the oil trick or the hot/cold thing at all!!!! great job!
Absolutely... measure process I so agree with and fornthebsame reason..less dishes...lol My all time favorite, but never had made. Excited to try knowing you have excellent recipes!
Thank you for the details but I Wish you could tell all the amount of ingredients while you were preparing for baking just like the way you did it for baking your cookies
Making 1/2 recipe right now. No vanilla extract listed in the recipe posted on your website. I kept looking for it.....just left it out, but wanted you to know that it isn’t listed in your printed recipe ( or I’m having a senior moment! )
I'LL BE BACK THIS WEEK :) I was so busy these past 2 months. Sold our home and the cafe, had to move while training the new buyers.. uggh!! Insanity! But, everything is back to normal and I've filmed a few episodes. They will be up very soon. Will try to do a Q and A Live stream if time allows :) Best wishes and THANK YOU!!
Dimitra, this cake looks lovely!! I love honey yeah :D But I have a couple of questions: 1. Can I make an eggless version of this cake? 2. I think that boiling honey makes it poisonous... So can I boil the syrup without the honey and subsequently add the honey once the syrup cools a little? (Based on grist.org/article/2009-10-28-heat-makes-honey-toxic-and-other-myths-of-the-hive/) Thanks a lot!
+Mallika Ven I've never made this cake without eggs, but let me know how it comes out if you try it. As far as not boiling the honey, that is fine. Just add it to the syrup once it's ready. Thanks!

@@DimitrasDishes I was wondering the same. Glad you're back!⚘
Dear what if I make in a round pan 9"so can I half the recipe
yes. Or you can make 2 and freeze one of them for the future :)
Dimitra's Dishes so if I make 2 then freeze the second one before pouring syrup or make it complete and freeze ?
For the cake that you will be freezing, do not soak with syrup. When ready to eat, defrost completely, warm up the syrup and then soak it. Enjoy!
would you happen to have a nice baklava recipe? Would love to learn that!
I do! I will share it as soon as I get back to filming videos once my kitchen is ready. Thanks for watching :)

The article link you posted disputes what you said. Honey is not toxic when heated. Re-read the article
Mallika Ven jg
I envy you .
Hi Dimitra you forgot to list the vanilla extract in the recipe 😂
What are cloves?
Cloves are a spice :)
Put your recipe on the computer , when you get the recipe you want to work with then you should give the amount of ingredients you use.
The direct link to this recipe is in the description box under the video.
Next time you can shoot your videos from the moon. Some close ups might be a good idea.
looking at you i wouldn't think your greek, i'd think your black, AFRICAN NOT GREEK.
+ellamae Lol aren't you a stupid little cookie? People look different, there is no greek stereotype. She looks greek to me.
