I love and respect this man more than almost any other I can name. He gave and gave and gave of himself, and all for the benefit of others. His music brought me and millions more joy and comfort than words could ever convey. Rest in peace, Pete. Lord knows, you deserve nothing less.

I was so afraid that when Toshi passed on that it wouldn't be long until Pete joined her. And sure enough, 6 months later, he did. I will miss them both forever. The world is so much poorer now that they are gone. Sad, sad, sad.

What wonderful people. They lived the life they chose - spreading freedom, good will, enthusiasm for our nation in their gentle, caring way - with music, a few jokes, helping us all song along - together. Miss you Pete.

Great way to explain life long love without ever having to say the word as only Pete Seeger could do.

I love the memory of this man. Several generations loved the man and his music. My wife recently passed away (March 29, 2024), and I understand and know how much Pete and his wife loved each other. I see it in his eyes in this video. It made me weep for him and for my wife too.

So very sad. A man we have always loved, paying tribute to a woman that we never really knew. They are together now, our only consolation.

This is almost unbearable to watch... Pete always gave Toshi the credit she deserved for making it possible for him to do what he did for all of us. We all owe her a debt of gratitude.

Grief should be talked about more.
My husband died of demitia, and I thought he was "just getting old".
    I LOVED HIM SO MUCH!
    RIP Robert!
I will spread his ashes at the Beach, Ocean, Golf Course, in our backyard, and everywhere he and I loved.❤

Incredibly moving and I had never seen that this was even .. on here. So glad that he was willing to speak about this.. it's so hard when you are with someone you love so much for so long and lose them. It doesn't matter if you expect this, if you know it's coming.. It can still be a shock in some ways.
Above all other things, you never ever stop missing them.

The light has gone out of his eyes. It's no wonder he passed soon after Toshi did. Wonderful, they were. Down to earth and caring geniuses. I am glad we have this wonderful tribute to a great woman by her mourning husband.

Pete and his bride are together now. He is playing the Banjo and she is clapping and smiling.
I see the heartbreak in his eyes but I also see the joy of how he loved her.

That can't help but make you think of all the countless people that, one way or another, went through so much, and were driven to where they are now ..... by such a range of events, from cruel to dramatic.
It's not all audacity & adventure, of course. Every event has it's consequence, and SELECTING how to add one brick to existing foundations .... without risking disastrous, later collapse .... well, that's the difficult part.
Yet we're always in a hurry to place those bricks, instead of learning earlier on that slow is smooth and smooth is fast.
Here's to those who help us remember that gentle is gracious, and grace is adaptive.
