The sad truth is if a member does not fit the image they can’t join or get asked to leave , I am talking about people with Disabilities, In our Church it’s about the true heart of praise , We have cancer survivors, Heart failure survivor, and others with Disabilities, our music leader and pastor both accept them

As I was listening to the description of a conversation after having gone over expectations, perhaps another way to approach with someone is to instead ask a question, “hey, so expectations were outlined, and I’m touching base to see how YOU think you are doing with them/where you’re at (or something like that) - this provides an opportunity to hear how the person thinks they are doing and may clarify some things pretty quickly, especially if there is a significant difference of opinion. People also tend to be harder on themselves when given the opportunity to self-evaluate. Once the answer is provided it opens communication doors to either further clarify expectations or then describe your own assessment and hopefully work together to remedy the situation.

Suggestion to Start in prayer. Worship goes right in with relationship to Jesus. My life literally changed when I began to worship. I experienced so much of this myself along with others and I was not clear and did not have better knowledge in this particular service. Now I am understanding who I am in Christ, to be humble with the team & others. Any suggestions would be great

Just a thought. The term “my team” might not be the best. Just because someone is a leader or coordinator of the team, that doesn’t make it “their” team. And even though that might not be the intention of using that word, it can definitely be perceived that way.
