He is one of the funniest companions in the game. His moral compass is quite good, he dislikeds taking more money, stealing, chems, boose. He likes if you help people. Exept for that he likes canabilism and killing stuff😂

I wish you could find the Milk of Human Kindness would've been a quest.
It should've been an Easter egg quest but I guess the real milk of human kindness was the sole survivor saving him and that one guy he's locked up with.
I would take it as a fallout 4 styled joke that the milk of human kindness would be an actual serum made by institute and virgil himself.
Drinking it would suddenly make strong talk more eloquent like Marcus or fawkes level of intelligence (int booster)

There was even a bunch of actors performing Shakespeare radio shows iirc, something was definitely cut or, more likely, due to random people at Bethesda making different content with no central documentation it was just never added to begin with
Easiest way to get affinity with Strong in a balanced playthrough is by running a bunch of minutemen missions. For some reason, Strong likes helping settlements.
Correct, as long as you don't say you are doing it for the minutemen! He's such a bizarre character, because he hates being told what to do by factions (accepting missions) but loves to help people/share with people. And in his dialogue it clearly stems from 'super mutant brothers help brothers' ideology.
Or the repeatable Automaton quest. He likes that too.

His reason is that super mutant help other super mutant bc they are all brothers and super mutant like smashing things and killing things so by helping settlements your doing all the things that super mutants love.

Can’t believe I forgot about Fawkes. He’s probably my favorite companion. For some reason I love when you ask him to change his combat style he gets offended and says” IN WHAT WAY?!”
Also Fawkes is a really nice guy, and when you ask him to go melee he gets kinda disappointed since he doesn't want to get his hand bloody.
Special mention to uncle leo now that is a supermutant that i wish you could recruit even though he hates violence
There was a more interesting thing in one of the Quests with a Dislike, Like, and Love outcome for Strong. If you do the quest to intercept the drug deal outside diamond city and you discuss the cut. If you take everything, Strong says, "Human should Share." If you do a 50-50 split, Strong will like it and comment."Good, Human should share, like brothers do." If you take a bigger share, Strong will really like that and say, "Brothers always share, but leader takes first."
That's honestly really cool, I never knew that.
Marcus and Fawkes are both top tier super mutants companion

Strong likes fighting, and strong likes sharing. He sees someone who wins every fight they go into as someone deserving of respect. But he also sees someone who shares as being worthy of respect too. It’s honestly kind of wholesome the sharing part.
You can get affinity when you kill high level enemies w melee weapons

The cannibalism perk is one of my favorite perks lol, I love the occasional comments I get from companions who dislike it.😂 I also had a raider freak out and run when he saw me chow on his dead buddy

Just do Preston settlement quests and You'll get Strong to like You in no time.
I always found strong as one of the easiest companions to get along with, genuinely confused why you thought they were difficult until you said playing like a super mutant.

I never really had a problem with strong even though yes he dislike when work on weapons and armor and I get that prompt constantly I still somehow manage to get his affinity up to get his perk
Also agreeing to do missions a lot of the time bags a negative from him. Weirdly helping settlements but NOT saying your with the minutemen gets good approval from him, but saying you are = negative.
That's because the Minutemen are annoying dorks, even a Super Mutant understands that.

It's too bad Strong's quest to find milk was just never fleshed out.
From what I can tell, Strong likes it when you do morally good things, but in a violent way. For example, instead of talking your way out of a hostage situation Strong would like you to just kill the bad guy.
Looking like Frank Horrigan's little brother who he had to pick up from elementary and bring to his college class for the day.

He hates everything. So i just stopped doing quests and just went around and killed shit for a few hours. Got his perk and sent his ass back home.

That explains why he liked me. I took cannible as my first perk and loved the grognak axe and power fist long before i met him so i was already a violent caveman lmao

If you have a unlimited companions mod, NEVER get strong. There is some sort of glitch where he will talk the whole time and after you finish Caits quest to vault 95,all her voice lines are replaced with Strong's voice lines. Strong also will talk during cut scenes (including the ending scene) and he will talk during dialogue.

Ive noticed that this strain of mutant on the east coast doesnt have those mouth harnesses to keep their lips from overtaking their mouths. I wonder how many strains of FEV were synthesized.

Honestly I didnt realize strong was considered one of the harder companions to be friends with, especially because my first playthrough was almost purely a melee power armor run where I never actually took the suit off unless necessary.
Meanwhile dog going fucking insane in the corner.
my favorite method to get Strong to like me was to get a maxed out base ball bat and just wandering the glowing sea killing all that walks in it.

He is my favorite comoanion and I wished there was more done with him. I love that he is so devoted to the concepts of Unity or the aggressive philosophy of their new birth unlike many other suoer mutant companions. He is a Gen 2 and while many are pushed to the side as too moronic to be viable companions, Strong , while not book smart or articulate, does have good common sense and is opinionated. I wish the devs allowed a more exchange of ideas. Telling Strong that the milk of human kindness is really the benefits and rewards of being compassionate and kind and how super mutants are a dying breed and need to stop culling each other and find another way to survive. He hints at this in some lines: "World is bigger than Strong knew..." "So many humans... not many super mutants." HES LITERALLY SO CLOSE TO GETTING IT.
Build a fortress for your settlements and fight lots of stuff. Strong was the fastest companion to max rep for me.

That gunner base that’s a giant like defended fort has a great room for leveling the raider guy from nuka-world. A monitor with a unlock and lock function, a safe behind it, and to the side but not too far is a couch you can wait on.
He was the first companion that i successfully got his affiliation. The funny thing is i didnt know that was a thing at first and i wasnt even trying.
He talks like the hulk. And is green like hulk.

Oddly enough, he likes it when you help settlements. Though, helping settlements usually entails battling a large posse of enemies, so that's probably why.
He (and most other companions) also like it when you do the Minuteman radiant quests. Specifically when you talk to the settlers and promise to help them-as the quest objective changes.
Gets about 50-100 points each quest.
Which is super convenient, because another settlement needs your hel-
The quickest way is to actually bring him along on settlement missions.
