The Catechism wraps up its overview of the Eucharist by reminding us that the sacrament of Holy Communion is a foretaste of what is to come in heaven. Fr. Mike exhorts us to prepare our hearts here on earth so that they might be conformed to God, ready to unite with him forever in heaven. The Eucharist is a most excellent path to such unity. Today’s readings are Catechism paragraphs 1402-1405.

How beautiful it is that as I remember how I longed to comfort a loved one, I prayed to the Lord God, upset to no end, until I realized that my loved one(s) is being comforted by the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. So now I ask my loved one(s) for intercession as I plan to intercede for all if/when I am able to achieve my goal which is Eternal Salvation ❤

The Eucharist is a pledge of the future glory because it fills us with every grace and heavenly blessing. It fortifies us for our pilgrimage in this life and makes us long for eternal life. Christ's presence is veiled in the Eucharist so that you and I can come close to Him. Let us give our hearts to Him at every mass. 🙏

When I had my reversion into my Catholic faith, I thought, “The apostles were sooooo fortunate to have had Jesus and to have spent time with him” “I wish I could see him and spend time with him too”. Then, I realized that I did have Jesus in the Eucharist!!! I’ve gone to daily mass and been to adoration almost daily since.

The expression “Maranatha!” was a key watchword and prayer among the early Christians. It is an Aramaic word which is a combination of two words “marana - tha” which literally mean “the Lord comes” or in the imperative case “Come, Lord!” Paul the Apostle used this Aramaic word at the end of his First Letter to the Corinthians, chapter 16, verse 22: “Come, Lord!”

Amazing Deacon Ed and us men were listening to the deacon regale the story of the Eucharistic miracle in Buenos Aries, Argentina last night and here I am hearing it again for the umpteenth time and it now donned on me we are eating Jesus heart muscle that is so crucial to life as Fr Mike points out. Wow I'm so not worthy to receive Him in the Eucharist. What a privilege to do so. So what became of the aftermath of this Eucharistic miracle? The scientist doing the research converted to Catholicism and the presiding bishop went on to become pope, his name is Francis. What's it not for you to be transformed by the Eucharist you who are now poor of spirit? Be renewed in spiritual growth by the most blessed Sacrament of the Altar.

Sometimes I would get so deeply involved I would be praying the rosary for a few hours. Believe me, the Slideshare has one of the most beautiful rosaries I have ever seen with not only scripture but explanations of each mystery. Well, long story short, she SHOWED me. She is amazing. God knew what He was doing when He chose her. I advise you and all reading this to pray the rosary with the Slideshare. You won't be disappointed.
Also, there are times when you get this eerie feeling that danger is lurking, not necessarily when you are praying but just anytime, call upon Mary immediately. "Mary Mother of Grace Mother of Mercy shield me from the enemy and protect me at the hour of my death. AMEN.
YOU WILL FEEL COMFORT IMMEDIATELY.

Christ is veiled in the Eucharist so that in our current condition we can approach Him. We are prepared to see Him in His full heavenly glory by receiving Him often in the Eucharist. We will the be comfortable in His powerful and beautiful presence.
I went to Catholic school too, but didn't understand the True Presence until after I Reverted.

Wonderful. I do get tired of the fallen nature of this existence and wonder why we have to suffer for one creature's hatred of humanity and pride

God is our Father. One of His angels disagreed with God. Yet God still loves him. God is the True Reader of hearts. How I wish things were different and the fallen angels would repent, but as I understand it their answer is final. They would rather burn in Hades than have Eternal Salvation. I don't understand their logic but God does. God still loves them. 🙏❤🙏
We must long to be with Jesus, to give God worship, to praise him and make our hearts ready to enter into heaven.
Be excited to go to church to receive Holy Communion, where Jesus hides, his presence is veiled so that we don't have to hide and thus come closer to him.
The Eucharist is the heart of Jesus that pumps divine life to all of us, his body. Our invitation is to give him our hearts❤ ❤ in return.😊

Could you direct me to where I can read about these scientifically proven miracles. I"d not heard of them and I wonder why Rome hasn't shouted this from the rooftops. I've never heard it mentioned by priests or Bishop where I am - ever.
