I've left the property only twice in over two years due to multiple health problems. I used to shop thrift stores regularly years ago, when I had a vehicle. Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed the virtual window shopping tour and the scenery. You two are so cute!
It's been probably ten years since I could thrift shop in person. 😮 Some of the prices are insane at thrift stores these days. 😮 Wow!

We needed a puppy gate for our kitchen area and didn't want to spend a fortune. The space is quite wide. We went to the restore and purchased a really cool foot board that goes to a bed, added wheels to the bottom and it works great. When we were finished I think we had $25.00 invested. Our puppy is now 8 months old and its still holding up. Love your furniture finds guys.

I have been visiting the thrift store a lot lately but it's to donate. Our home is not full of a lot of things however with my husband's recent passing and living here alone I am preparing to downsize from our 1600 square foot house. It feels good to get rid of stuff.😊

$8.50 on the shelf is a steal. It is a vintage piece, possibly previously "built in" in an older home (based only on the cut pieces at the top). It has a multitude of possible uses (my favorite type of furniture). If it were me, I'd sand it down smooth, fix any loose pieces, and repaint it a solid color that works well with your home. (I'd skip the stencil decor but that's kind of an individual decision) Although I tend toward practical/useful (not particularly ornate) vintage furniture with a stained finish, in the past few years I've been drawn to some vintage furniture that was intended to be painted when it was created (often softer wood or green wood). This inexpensive bookshelf is perfect for use in many rooms for many purposes. Bravo. (and I did notice that it had had vintage hinges on it. Would have loved to see the original door. I'm betting it had a previous life in a pantry, but who knows?)
And, Yes! the Bench! $50 is a lot but it is unlikely to lose value, like pretty much anything similar that is modern :)

Instead of a yard sale or garage sale, I would have a shop my house sale to get rid of things I have collected and do not use, some things for 40 years!!

I brought some jewellery- both non magnetic for £5 and a pj top thing and Claire’s sunnies for £3. It’s crazy what you can buy for so little. On Monday I got a pair of earrings for 50p with massive backs

I know people love thrift shopping but the prices are many times so high. I prefer yard sales and flea markets.
April 1st we got 1 foot of snow. We set a record. Last night we had rain, hail, and Gale warnings. It was 70 this morning but 44 at 7:30 and going down.

From someone who has lived in Alabama all of her life the snow is gorgeous and the crunch sound is oddly calming and satisfying but I WOULD never want to live where it snowed that much!

The Goodwill stores in my area are way overpriced. It’s the little mom & pop thrift shops that have the best bargains, and they are getting harder and harder to find. We also have a few charity shops, which usually have good bargains. It’s a full time job to make the rounds to check out their inventory. I usually see one or two people who have full carts and you can tell they are serious flippers who turn around and sell the nicer stuff for a profit.

I love consignment shopping. I haven't bought anything new for my self in a long time, Unless it was on sale with coupon and Kohl's cash at Kohl's! Boy your prices are a lot higher than up here in northern Michigan. I volunteer at St.Vincent's and they had a very nice recliner for $50. I loved those jugs. I have an entire collection ( the lady we bought our home from also collected them and left them all) Fun watching you shop and Mike makes me laugh.

I saw an electric cord I think, so perhaps it was one of those that lift you up out of the seat. If not, your right, it was way overpriced.

On April 4 in Quebec, we have lots of snow and we are supposed to gat more snow tomorrow. We’ve got mostly about 10 feet snow piles with a few that are about 20 feet.

LOL! All winter in Central IL they told us we were getting a foot or more of snow and ended up with rain. Jack is growing so fast! I will have to go through my old pictures. Washington does have two eyes. :)
