I got this pedal a week ago and been playing with it every day for hours. I still have settings to try but I can confirm that this pedal is very useful because it can also do normal reverbs. Specially in Abyss mode- you just need to dial them in.
It’s a great pedal. With my looper i create intense sonic landscapes with single notes using the presets or a heavy ambience reverb and then just dial it down to a very subtle verb for the redubs.
Its been a source of inspiration. Worth every penny.

Shimmer is one of those modes that I quickly recognized the limitations of back with the Neunaber releases. If you play some form of Ambient or soundtrack , I could see wanting this and the Afterneath in the sound arsenal, but if you write more conventional kinds of structures, it becomes more of a special sauce added late,- or a distraction as a composition tool.Like the Walrus Lore, it's a sweet sounding impulse buy that takes some higher skills to manipulate to any unique end.
I always seek effects that help me write differently, that impact the actual structure and become integral.Like the Afterneath, this does have some application, but it also has a tendency to make everything sound similar.Of course, my relationship to many types of reverb has long been hesitant because I've found that it can easily neutralize the characteristics I seek to emphasize.
Big EQD fan, though.Their Avalanche, Aqueduct, Grand Orbiter, Warden and Dispatch Master have always been on my boards, and are likely to remain.
