Dr. Axe, I have a question. Until August 2018, I was eating spinach, beets, etc. But then I had a kidney stone & my urologist said to stop eating those things because they contribute to forming stones. What are other alkaline foods that I can have instead, that won't cause kidney stone formations? Thank you.

Stress is my enemy. It's messed up my hormones, weakend my immune system, etc. I've incorporated ashwaganda and rhodiola along with meditation and daily walking. I hope to see improvement in my stress levels in a couple of weeks.

    Hi Dr.Axe
I'm 45 but I'm not in perimenopse yet. My estrogen levels was very high for years & that caused me uterus fibroids over the years. Anyways I did partial hysterectomy 7 years ago. I was wondering if consuming Maca powder would help me kinda normalize my crazy hormones.
    Thanks so much🤗

I'm doing keto now. Just started about a week ago (I'm doing a daily video blog on my experience, feel free to check em out!) And I can deffinetly feel the inflammation. Although it's way less then I've felt eating a crappier diet. ✌

What’s wrong with just eating healthy and no Keto? Two servings of whole cut fruit 2x day and at least 3x that in non starchy vegetables. If you crave carbs eat legumes which also have protein and fiber. Keto is extreme, especially if you exercise, you won’t be able to fill your liver and muscle glycogen stores and will have a significantly less than ideal workout. You’ll end up using muscle for energy. No fun

Ravenstylea2 keto is great for losing weight especially fast it doesn’t have to be long term but if keto is done right and implemented as heslthy keto. It’s great. You can always start keto go on your weight loss lose the weight than transition to paleo. Extreme or not technically the body doesn’t need the carbs or the sugar just the minerals and vitamins. However if keto is done right you will not be losing muscle storages just burning own body fat.
