I enjoy this one although I haven’t played for a while. I have all of the expansions and this is just a fun silly game that I’ll never get rid of. If you just play it as a pulpy crazy game, and don’t take it too seriously, you might enjoy it. Lots of dice rolling, lots of tests, roll to move but it’s great to play a game where you can just enjoy the ride. Thanks for covering such an older fun game, Tom.
Definitely, the win condition is nice to get but it’s usually the last thing on my mind when playing this 😀

Tom it is great to see you play through this game. It has been on my list to get for many years and now that I got my hands on the reprint I am happy to get it to the table. And thank you for showing me all the things that I did wrong. :). I would love to see you play through this game again but against the Nazi's next time.

@@slickerdrips that rule book is a tough read that left me with so many questions. And every video online people add their own rules or fubb is so bad that they cant correct it, and keep playing it wrong. But at least you are trying to stay as close as you can to the actual rules.
One of my favorite games. So sad I had to let this one go along with all of the expansions. Such a great story building board game.

Been on the cusp of buying this for years. Curious what your final thoughts will be.

This is great and really well made. I'm stuck on one point, though. After the danger has been failed and the Cliffhanger has been revealed, at18:36 you say the 2 dangers stay with her. However, in the rulebook, it says, '...Cliffhanger...Any dangers you have overcome this turn will also be discarded without collecting any glory...' So, do we keep the danger markers or remove them? Does the rulebook mean 'Danger cards' when it says 'dangers' or does it mean 'danger markers'? I think it would make sense to keep them but it's all very confusing.
Thanks! I take it to mean you discard all the cards and lose the glory but you keep your progress unless you move away (including getting KOd and forced to move away)
@@slickerdrips This is what I thought. Otherwise, having to remove all progress just seems mean and could really unbalance the game. Thanks for the response and keep up the good work!
Is there any dice manipulation in this game? Or just luck driven only?
There’s some on the cards you can get but it’s luck whether you get a lot of those 😀 very luck driven but it’s all about the story it makes
