In Indonesia, his house is stormed by dozens of police officers, he is arrested, and no one hears from him again for months. This is the story of Gratia Pello, owner of the channel @inyomanis who was arrested in December and hasn't been heard from since.

I am an Indonesian Christian. The case of a Christian apologist who was arrested for being accused of insulting Islam is a form of discrimination experienced by Christians in Indonesia. he only answered the Muslim polemicist's attack on the Christian faith by comparing Islamic teachings, the sources of which he took from Islamic sources themselves. but for Indonesian Muslims it is an insult to Islam. that is the hypocrisy of Muslims, especially Indonesian Muslims.

That is what is happening in Indonesia, foreigners may see from the outside that religious problems in Indonesia do not seem to be a problem but actually there is great intolerance towards non-Muslims, especially Christians, carried out by Muslims including intimidation, disbanding of worship in churches, sealing of churches , even playing persecution too. The government has acted one-sidedly, including the police and the courts, because most government employees are also Muslims. I am as an Islamic apostate, returned to this country after several years of working in Korea, I was very embarrassed to feel the situation that was happening in this country. Im indonesian and Gracia Pello is not the only christian youtuber who got jailed for making content about the truth of islam. There is a man, ex muslim. Muhammad kace who got the same situation with gracia pello, in the prison another prisoners even police hit him brutally and fed him with human feces.. they don't let him eat till he got hospitalized.. his case was big too because of that many muslims use their connection to their peers in prison to torture him and when Gracia pello case was happening, most of christians were in silent so none notice about him (muslims) and we hope he won't get the same experience like Muhammad Kace. Because it's a tradition to feed islam blasphemy with human stool.. it's inhumane.

Having lived in Java and Bali for 12 years I can reliably say its a pseudo democracy, more of a military dictatorship.
The police and the military are to say at least brutal.
This country is multi faith, however the dictatorship will carry out acts of force to their narrative
To give you some idea I paid a captain in the military $100 to send two jeep fulls of soldiers to a debtor.
In Indonesia everything including Faith can be bought and paid for.

Well l see it’s going that way in the UK too! The police and Muham community were called to a school by the headmaster because a kiddo of teen years dropped his own Q book to the floor and it got slightly soiled, hardly visible. The muham community said the kiddos Q book was their book! And they said he had disrespected their book! Kiddo was suspended from school. His scared mother was told by the police to apologise to the muhams, all muhams. Mother was also told to wear a head covering but not a burka because she was not a muham and shouldn’t give the impression that she was a muham. The mother wore the head covering with her western clothing and she apologised profusely and said her teen son had various mental health issues and was a stupid boy. The mother said that her son and all the people must learn go respect the Q book! Now she prays her house will not be burned down in the night and her family murdered. I think she hopes in vane.

Your livestream today, however, was not very good- but not because of you! Rather, Lloyd de Jongh made the chat very unwelcoming to me when I came with questions about Christianity... which is what I thought the livestream was about. (As it was titled "bring your questions").
I wouldn't recommend having Lloyd on future livestreams. Or at the least, in the chat- unless he's willing to be less hostile to people with questions. His vitriol reflected poorly not only upon himself but upon your livestream as well. And as someone who enjoys your content, I hate to see that!

It is certainly not an easy task to simply leave Islam. Nor is it in Christianity, for that matter. But the two have different reactions regarding apostasy or conversion to another religion or belief. A Muslim who converts to Judaism, for example, is considered finished. A Christian who converts to Judaism also receives terrible reactions from Christians. Especially when the New Testament encourages the opposite. Therefore, it will be an additional provocation for Christians. The fact is that Judaism is experiencing a large increase in converts from namely X-Christians
