I really hope Eagle Dynamics makes the Super Hornet into an actual module. The F/A 18F is my all time favorite jet and favorite variant of the Hornet. Love the cinematic work in the video, keep it up!
as cool as it would be to see the super hornet in dcs we prob wont see it in the game for a while since the aircraft is still in service

@@phil7896 Heatblur or more specific True Grit currently develops an Eurofighter Module for DCS, so who knows, we might get one sooner or later.

Nope.
First of all: The F-18E was put into Service in 1999, the Eurofighter Typhoon was put into Service in 2006. The Superhornet entered mass production in 1997, the Eurofighter in 2003. Second: It will be as adequate and realistic as it can be, the CEO of Truegrit is a former EF Typhoon and F-4E/F Pilot. He was one of the first Pilots who have flown the Eurofighter. Yes, we "only" get a Tranche 1 Eurofighter, but we will get the modern weaponry which includes IRIS-T and Meteor Missiles.
I fly the Hornet at the minute in DCS a long with the Tomcat and Viper, I’m a Tomcat guy but i must say I’m really enjoying the Hornet and this video makes me want to fly the Super Hornet.. maybe one day we’ll get one in DCS! Brilliant cinematic video by the way!

you can get the DCS SuperBug mod but it overwrites the default hornet
Fellow Tomcat guy who just picked up the Hornet two days ago. I am having fun flying it, and would love to see the Super Hornet proper one day.
If the F/A-18F module came to DCS no one would fly any other module.

Just for giggles I did that in a recent personal campaign, last mission. The intro song played during startup, then as soon as 1-2 speed hit 40 on the cat, music on. I always let 2 and 3 launch first so they don't all have to chase me.

man, all these videos have the same music, if it ain't a phonk song it's kickstart my heart. the latter's closer to my personal music taste but still, i'd appreciate some of these videos mixing it up a little, that being said i still liked the video, i appreciate the editing and the making it in the first place, really.

Are there any Ace Combat skins available for the F/A-18E/F DCS.
So what’s the actual differences between this and our Hornet? Do the 2 extra pylons function? Are the engines more powerful and do we have more fuel?
The good thing is that performance wise the Rhino is pretty much the same as the good old legacy Hornet.. it has bigger engines but its heavier too and can carry much more fuel and ordinance.. the extra pilons, extra range would be the interesting part.. and of course simulating the lower RCS and better AESA radar
Why do you have a Growler with the AAR buddy refueling system on the center line? Let alone doing aerobatics with it. Instead of another AN/ALQ-99 on the center line, or possibly a fuel tank.

It's really a superb plane. Sadly, the mod doesn't allow us to use the latests externals wing pylons. But, it's the only way to fly the Rhino ( DCS will never make it, since it's still in service ; a block I (1) would be cool already)

A more in-depth answer, DCS on it's own comes with the SU-25T Frogfoot and an unarmed version of the P-51 Mustang. Every module is available for a two week trial on it's own, so you can do a trial of the F-18, let it expire then do a trial on the F-16. Trials reset six months after you use them. I highly recommend the SU-25T, it may be free and not a clickable cockpit, but it's a very capable ground attack aircraft. If you are hesitant on spending a ton of money for a top-tier module, I suggest the Flaming Cliffs 3 DLC, it's a pack of 7 simple planes, all very much good modules for $50, which is the best deal on the store. Oh also new users get 50% off their first purchase on any module.

a few years ago someone started a superhornet project but threw in the towel.
im pretty sure a lot of the stuff is still very hush hush, like the radar.
probably in the late 20s. people used to say the apache will never come back in like 2015
Color correction makes it look photorealistic. The DCS team should contact with you for ask how to do that dcs look like this video. This would make many people happy.

It’s too classified even the lot 20 hornet we have is some speculation in some aspects
So this mod requires it to replace the 18 that is paid for. I can’t understand why anyone would actually want to give up the $50-$80 plane to have this as cool as it may be
It's for those who are really invested and love flight sims, I was hesitant buying something so expensive too, but I got better and better and now I think they are worth it, the experience you get from them, the sheer amount there is to learn, and I want to support the development of future planes too.

Send a Super Hornet that will probably never exist in DCS. The mod for this is pointless if nobody can see it or doesn't use it themselves!
