- What happens when you need to make two or three bonds to the same atom? How do you show it?
It's easy - just bond the single electrons together (follow the same 4 easy steps as with single bonding) and if your molecule looks wonky after matching up the singles... just redraw it!
You got this!
SO IT WAS THIS EASY?!?!?! MY TEACHER MADE IT SO COMPLICATED, MY HEAD NEARLY EXPLODE!!!
the way i fauled chemistry twice now im majoring in it and passing it with an A
they have to change their teaching strategies 😡
Same
your so funny with your hoorays like im laughing while doing chemistry. honestly beats crying so thanks miss girl for real
Thank you so much. The reason I didn’t understand this was because I didn’t know if I was suppose to double or triple bond certain ones. Like O2 they had enough to be triple in my eyes but, now I know that each element needs 8 to be stable I won’t have thst problem anymore. I only counted the electrons they shared and not all shared electrons😅. Thank you very much.
The best learning video ever my teacher doesn't explain like this you are the best ♥
Thank you so much. I found it helpful. I'll be using these tips for the whole school year. Thank you again.
I cant believe it was this easy, it took me more than 5 videos for finding this one and finally understand it, this video should be viral
You explained it so well. My doubts are now cleared thank you mam! :)
thankyou so much I'm doing my 2nd level Chemistry in University and tomorrow is my final exams and for some reason I forgot how to do it. You made this so simple I truly appreciate this.

I like it
a powerful woman🥺
She is just so funny, I like her
Why does this "bond the singles" technique not seem to work with something like SO2? What am I missing?
oh great question! SO2 is a tricky one that doesn't follow the regular rules and has something called a resonance structure. I don't have a video with SO2 specifically, but this one has NO2 and that follows the same rules for why SO2 is weird. czcams.com/video/g_Qfdc2Q1XE/video.html
Hope that helps! Good luck :)
@@straightscience2248 Thank you! I was helping my daughter, so I was refreshing my memory-35-years-removed from this stuff. Then I decided to give her that example to see if we could work our way through it, and it was like "weeeeell, hmm." 😂 We'll check the other video out.
Thanks for the video, but girl you gotta clean out your nails
love her video but hard to not focus on those nails
