- The KTM 390 Duke is the top of the line street-naked from the cooperation between Bajaj Auto and KTM, the Austrian motorcycle company. It's produced in India for the world, in more or less one spec for the planet. From 2013 till today, it's had the same 373cc engine that produces tons of power and is a great highlight of the motorcycle. For the longest time, the 390 Duke has represented one of the highest performance motorcycles for the money. Over time, it's acquired a reputation for being capable, reliable, running hot and not very happy to calm down and go slow. KTM shares the chassis with the smaller siblings, the 250, 200 and 125 with minor changes. KTM creates the 250 and the 390 from the same engine platform. And the smaller engines are from a slightly different engine platform. Do remember that this is 10 years of the 390 Duke, and a new one is on the way... maybe very soon.

I have the same colour, I don't understand people complaining heat! I mean i wear shorts and commute to gym and office back and forth of 50kms, I feels its completely cool and fine with me.

We cannot compare an upcoming from photographs and speculations. It has very little real basis and is pure guesswork… which we won’t do.

It isn't. It paints the idea that that specific model has something to do with fatalities. Which has happened about 50 years ago, but doesn't happen any more.
@@motorinc and you can disperse the myth with proper data and a presentation. Anyway what triggered the idea was your opinion that this is beast that require you to have the know-how to handle it's power. A point could be made about how proper training, policy for safety and public awareness could be helpful to improve safety.

Over Heat Issue but no Solution.
Use Engine Ice and learn to give the bike a break once in a while. That's how you deal with Duke 390 and bigger bikes like that. If not, move on

Of course, if you maintain it. It is reliable. I have ridden Duke 390 BS4 model. 47k kms. Still stock clutch, stock valve clearance, stock bearing.
it is a high performance bike which needs maintenance strictly, if u don't, it falls apart

I still have my old 2014 pulsar 180 which has been very reliable. If you look after things, they last surprisingly long.
