The way sex offenders get treated even after serving their time, going on a register etc etc, their lives are essentially ruined and society does not forgive them (rightly or wrongly). I don't understand why the US doesn't just change laws so that offenders either a) get locked away for good or b) get the death penalty. Appealing to the LGBTQ community is a political move that gives people leverage. Its a quick and easy maneuver that they know will give them moral status. The lack of reaction for Balenciaga is likely due to most people in power/celebrity culture being pedophiles, and those are the same people who control the contracts of celebrities. I mean after so many decades of stuff like this, the Epstein/Ghislane debacle, and so many former child stars speaking out I don't know how much more obvious it can get that perpetuating pedophilia is a primary interest for hollywood.

As someone who works on shoots like this, everything in the frame is Intentional. No photographer will let a random book be in their frame without them approving it. All the stuff there would most likely have been brought in by a production designer and if it wasn't physically in the shoot they would have added it in post production. So i totally agree something very small yet has a lot of meaning is 100% intentional.
Heck, even if it was an incredibly sloppy shoot, I don't like the idea that certain books and items supposedly were just laying around. I'm almost more afraid of the person who owns said materials and thinks it to be coffee table literature. But I know better and you're 100% correct. Those props were meant to be there.
I I’ve been a photographer for about 15 years, and I 100% agree with you! I would never let something get in a shot “by accident” as you said. Every item is carefully placed or taken away for a reason, to fit into the creative vision of the shoot. There’s no way they could ever claim any of it was accidental or not intended to create their disgusting “vision”

Being a loud activist today is most often a statement about one's personality type, and very often NOT representative of most of the group which they want to be seen as representing.
I used to think that "being an activist" was a good thing (and it can be). But mostly today, it's not so good - I prefer to avoid most self-proclaimed activists now. They are hard to have a thoughtful conversation with - everything is a moral certainty, logic is irrelevant if you think you have unquestionable moral high ground.
Again, there are exceptions, some of whom I really admire. But in general, treat activists as anomolies; a gay friend or colleague is more likely to be typical than the activist is.

It’s actually shocking how many people in America get away with ACTUAL child SA. Being a victim of it myself, the man who did it to me and my 2 step sisters and step cousin (who was a baby boy at the time) got zero prison time. Just got slapped on the “watch list”. I'm a sahm because this exactly. I was blessed to be protected by a strong sahm as a child who taught me so many lesson on stranger danger and the big NO if anyone tried me. I just want every adult to really listen to children. Believe what they say until you have proof it isn’t true. Not the other way around, don’t believe the child until you have proof what they said is true. If that makes sense. There just needs to be more awareness in general about child abuse. Oh, you should look up the whole schmebang in UK (United kingdom) In the 60s I think? everything and all from the bottom street level to the top house of commons, police and all of them involved in a huge CP scandal...
