Thomas Lang on the podcast. Just putting that out in the universe.
What podcast?
@@AFacemarkedbyFea The Downbeat (i.e. Craig's podcast). Scope it out if you haven't! Already been some rad guests.
Half this video is just Craig sounding like a goth simp on twitter asking for highly specific foot content
so normal then
One thing that might make his electric kit playing sound cleaner is he set the threshold of each drum to a very low setting, meaning you barely have to hit each drum to make it sound like you smacked the shit out of it. With that, he can play fast and soft, maintaining more control, while still sounding like he's playing hard. I'm not saying he doesn't clean up his tracks on an electric kit, I honestly have no clue. But I think he's at least also using this threshold trick.
Yes. This is the whole argument some drummers have against triggers.
Sort of like corking a baseball bat.
Very common practice especially live.
Every deathcore band I've seen this year had triggers on their bass drums at least, if not the whole kit.
Most metalcore bands I've seen use them, exceptions being STRAY and Knocked Loose and Kingdom of Giants.
But I don't mind it, it makes double bass sound better and cleaner (as seen in the video) imo if done right. The drummer is still hitting every note you hear (usually).
I use a fully triggered acoustic drumset with rubber cymbals for recording. 1)because I don't want to bother my family, newborn child in the house
2)I have my settings set perfectly, it sounds like an acoustic set tuned really well in a soundproofed room made for recording drums.you can hear mic bleed and all that shit. I don't have the $$ to build a room to record drums in.
3) it's soo goddamn fun to play. I've never had more fun playing drums than with my current setup.
You'd be surprised how many of your favorite modern metal studio albums are done on edrums and superior 3.

yeah, depressing isn't it?
Foot fetish results: inconclusive
Your explosions of laughter during this video gave me life today. Thank you for that.
IIIISSS IIITTT?
I was dying T the commentary here
Love that you mentioned The Rev. He influenced me in so many ways! ❤
Where are you getting these class t shirts from. I fuckin loved the yellow Sepultura one as well.
Sepultura was the hundreds, this is a bootleg 90s one
“Be safe, particularly if you go in the bottom.” Nailed it!
Real life live action mario 😂 I'm dying
The Mario Bit: you finished me.
Once upon a time I happened across him on instagram, he is bonkers. And gladly not just a gimmick - man can rip. Legit
Where’s the T shirt from. Love it.
You said Thomas LANG!!!!!!!
He has a course on how to do this on drum masters academy
Natty or Not request - El Estepario Siberiano
Already done
check out Dante Haas with Barn. crazy death band you’ll dig. kids like 17 or 18
Luka vezzosi has a very similar speed to this guy
Invite Lars on for a chat, I reckon he'd totally be up for it.
I'm surprised you found any foot videos given that his entire "shtick" is that he has insanely fast hands. His hand technique really does work too, not a lot of power in it though.
"Have I got anything cool?"
well you broke your crack pipe so you've only got yourself to blame
Got a like for your artistic skills
Riccardo is know for the fastests hands, foot is not your point, but, his also good....
Using the broom... doing brushwork. Not acknowledged. (Yet again Creg confuses me with his dry Berkshire wit.)
This is the most blue ball'd I've ever seen Craig... JUST GIMMIE THE FEET!!! nope, left hanging with yeener in hand... limp. Damn. Sadge. Guy rips either way
You're correctamundo Dude. Theres deffo talent bur somethings off. Mega quantised?
