Mr. Meme there should be a stamina side event at tournaments because no non charged attacks can break wall on stamina(except maybe full revenge f smash or grapple) oh and terry f tilt at edge is an infinite with walls but not like that’s gonna happen often on stamina stock
I'm glad I'm not the only one. I said that and I got flamed. It doesn't follow the traditional legal stages but I mean there's no rng of sorts to give an unevened advantage. And if you're too close to the wall and die from a smash attack that's your fault, position yourself better like in any other fighter game. I think there may be an argument made to have this potentially be legal. Am I crazy?

@@isgamer-8732 I think the reason for lack of stamina fights is the fact knockback never goes up much, thus leading to constant huge comboes that can easily take off more than half a persons life/stock, and then we're back in smash 64 all of a sudden.
It should not just be legal , it should be a standard , every stage should have this form and this form should be standard tournament rule.

props to the guy who said burning knuckle's command input is quarter circle back, it actually is, they just changed it in this game because crack shoot's input is the same, but in KOF/FF you have punch and kick buttons to differ one from the other.
Of course it's not a legal stage. It's not a Tri Plat with large blast zones. You know competitive Smash doesn't do variety lol

ihave2cows Except you cannot killthrow on this stage or cheese. You have to fight for that kill. Can’t even wall combo as the wall is techable. It’s honestly a game changer and should be a rule for other walkoffs

I'm zoomer and i know everything Sakurai is saying (in Latino America SNK is well know) but seeing the reactions of smash players to this direct is a little cringe not gonna lie.

Burning knuckle is actually QCB in KOF, so you were not wrong in the context of expecting it to be QCB !
What was crack shoot's inputs then? Did they have the same inputs?
A a crack shoot was quarter circle back but with a kick, while burn knuckle is the same motion with a punch.

Yeah that is to cover for the fact that smash doesn't do "punch" and "kick" buttons, so if it was done completely, like say a KOF, there would be an input overlap. As Brian Notes.

@@keroro9663 Like, it won't hurt them to experiment with stages, hell, it'd make the tournies feel more exciting, and they only exist because of the community.
@Zack Rose - even with the walls, it still practically has walkoffs. You can still kill at very low percents near the edge.
@@ShermTank7272 It's determined by the speed of the character hitting the wall if I'm correct. Regardless, Tournies still need to start experimenting, cause most matches are literally the same 2 or 3 arena's.

less about making this an actual fighting game and more about taking away one of the most unique things about the game. If I wanna play a competitive fighting game with a life bar i sure as hell ain't gonna boot up smash, I'll launch my PC/PS4/whatever to boot up skullgirls, sf4 or some arcsys game

He starts talkin about Neo Geo and you guys were all lost... also the reason he talked about SNK as well as Terry so much is because he was passionate about everything SNK has accomplished over the years. I take it none of you played the original fatal fury games or King of fighters.
John Mellinger honestly, even as someone whose never played a single fatal fury or snk game, I loved seeing sakurais clear passion for the franchises. It really shows with all the effort he put into everything revolving around Terry.

I'm with Salem for once, I would love to see this stage legal.
Just think about the match-up options and the mix-ups, it gives some characters like Mac some more ways to come back when the first game is lost.

domo was right about the burn knuckle command input, for some reason they reversed it in smash, pretty confusing
edit: realized that crack shoot was QCB with a kick, and burn knuckle was QCB with a punch, but smash only has normal and special attack

For someone that's usually attentive over smaller details, I felt like all the move names completely went in one ear and out the other for M2K.
his recovery seems super exploitable and is it just me or does the powered up versions seem to have more startup/lag?
Probably just from doing the command input rather than doing the regular input. We'll have frame data soon enough, I'm sure, though for Rising Tackle's command input, you do need to charge down for a bit.
Charged Rising Tackle has invincibility, and kills earlier. that's the drawback of the increased startup. You can't hit him in the startup frames.
