Fusion 360 - HTD5 Tooth Profile Tutorial

In this video i show you example how you can create any tooth profile. In this example we create HTD5 72T profile.

1:20 Tooth profile 2.08mm

Values used in this example :
Big circle :113.45mm
Offset : 2.08
Bigger Circle : 3.05mm
Smaller Circle : 0.86mm
Angle : 90-(360/72) = 85

The Bigger circle that you have taken 3.05 mm is showing 1.49 mm radius in one of the image of belt. i think it will be matter after manufacturing.

Hi Create3designs. Thanksfor sharing this tutorial. Tried to draw a 20 tooth pulley but here the two smaller circles does not fit between the two big circles. At 28 tooth it will be ok but this brings me into problems with the bigger pulley (need a ratio from 2:1 where the smallest pulley has to be 16-20 tooth.
Can you help me out with this?
As an alternative I can switch to a T3 or 3m profile but there is very little to none info on the internet about sketches or drawings for timing belt pulleys....

I had a similar issue. You just need to change your contour selection for the extrusion (its ok if the two smaller circles overlap each other, just extrude them both)
