This is a Perfect Example of Why I Miss The 80's. The Originality, Uniqueness & the Creativity of the Music. I'm so glad I was a Part of the Greatest Music Decade Ever.
Totalmente de acuerdo con usted.
I'm right with you on that. I'm 57 and miss the 80's

Das waren Zeiten! Ich vermisse sie so sehr! Take me Back top this Times!
Listened to this literally a billion times back in the day. This was such a great track!!
That era of music was so exciting. Now its just crap.
Was?
Still is.
Un clásico.
Masterpiece ever! ❤ I love you so much,David Sterry ❤❤❤
I’m 40 and love 80’s music!!!
One of my favorite songs of all time
timeless
I was a huge fan of Real Life, discovered them back in '81 living in CA. Still makes smile and dance at 60
What a great Track. THIS is real Music! Still love and miss the 80s.
We were so lucky to have grown up with 80s Music! What a Iconic decade for Music!
2023 I am 55 and walking through memories of great bands and music in my life. Real Life "Heartland " album was special even by 80's uber creative and eclectic standards. This band was different among many different bands. I get why so many of the generations after us gravitate to "Our" music..it was fearless and free of so many of the tethers that confine so much of the music that has come after. It is always great to come back and listen to the "good stuff " besides the flood of memories it is simply fantastic music.
Verry australisch und original aus den 80izgern!❤ Masterpiece❤❤❤
What a fantastic song!!!
catch me i'm falling, we the people will keep you bands alive forever. thank you for the great music.
Born in 1999. Love this song.
The mid 80s were such an exciting time in music, and Real life were right on the forefront. Sadly that era is all gone now.
I was born 1970 so grew up through the best Music ever 70s,80s & 90s.And i know how lucky i am to have those songs linked to memories.
I love youtube. It´s a first class timemachine and bring me back to best times.
Even a lost and found office.
Or better yet, a find and never lose device yeah!
I love youtube. for the same reason... im traveling over again and again.
Thats why I love youtube, i was a seventies/eighties child, and yet there was so much from those times I never heard , and still yet to discover.
it is like walking down memory lane - so much fun :)
I love it too except for the censorship of Christianity, but facebook and other sites are worse.
THE GORGEUS AUSTRALIAN NEW WAVE ...................... 80's FOREVER !
“You have no idea how much this song means to me. I almost cry every time I hear it. It is my life from beginning to end.”
Same here, I would jammed my tape until it wore out. Very awesome underrated song.
❤
I never get tired to listen to this song! Thanks David Sterry, Richard Zatorski, Danny Simcic and Alan Johnson!

Un clasico musica muy. Entusiasta para desafios de la vida
Great songs !! Real shame they didnt have a highly successful career like some of the other electronic New wave Pop Synth Oz groups of the 80s (Icehouse Pseudo Echo etc . Their 90s album Lifetime was very good .check it out 👍
If you had a jukebox today full of 80s music the lottery win wouldn’t play it all YEAR 😎
Everyday is a good time to be on an 80s kick.❤😎
this is when music kicked ass and this is why this music will never die. This has to me one of my favorite tunes of all time .I wish i had a time machine i would drop everything and go back in a heart beat.
I am soooooo blessed to have gone through my adolescence in the 80s!
Great music remember there music clearly in the eighties
I lay down to rest my head
My soul to keep the night I dread
It's no dream
Slumber comes as darkness falls
And shadows dance across my walls
It's no dream
Wake up
Don't sleep
My dreams become so real to me
Wake up
Don't sleep
While the night is young
I lay down to rest my head
My soul to keep the night I dread
It's no dream
Slumber comes as darkness falls
And shadows dance across my walls
It's no dream
I Wake up
Don't sleep
My dreams become so real to me
I Wake up
Don't sleep
While the night is young
Catch me I'm falling
Down again
I know it's a dream but just the same
There's a face before my eyes are closed but I can recognize the danger
Slumber comes as darkness falls
And shadows dance across my walls
It's no dream
I Wake up
Don't sleep
My dreams become so real to me
I wake up
Don't sleep
While the night is young
Catch me I'm falling
Down again
I know it's a dream but just the same
Catch me I'm falling, falling
Ahhhhh Ahhhh
Catch me I'm falling
Down again
I know it's a dream but just the same
Catch me I'm falling
Catch me I'm falling
Catch me I'm falling
I'm falling
Catch me I'm falling
I'm falling
Catch me I'm falling
I'm falling
Catch me I'm falling
I'm falling
What a fantastic song from the past still love hearing it
i´m 44...love this piece...goog old 80´s
This song has been going through my head ever since I heard it at Aahs on Wilshire Blvd in Los Angeles back in 1985 and finally I found who played that song I heard all those years ago.
I searched for this song for 27 years. Thank goodness for CZcams.
The best 80's ever. I seen this on the
New video hour in the Philippines back in 1992 right after
our field trip for our class when i went home
Grew up in the 80's but I don't recall this. Nice tune...
Soon to be 42 and I can absolutely relate to a lot of the comments being posted.
I remember jumping around like a frog in a fuckin sock to this one with my mates at the blue light disco trying to impress the girls lol. Had some of the best times of my life during my teenage years in the 80's, wish I could go back and do it all again and while I wasn't a big fan of the new wave/synthesizer stuff back then, this song was an exception.
Thank you reallifeexperience for the upload.
My fav by them....the 80's ruled..
Oh what a memory to cherish! I feel like living in the 80's again!
Party time!!!
that ethereal echoey mangling of the first verse at the start of the song has got to be one of the most eeriest things I have ever heard.
Alas, the 80's can never come again. At least we have our recordings and memories.
Beautiful Music! !!!😊🎵🎶🎼🎼🎶🎵🎶🎵🎼🎸🎹
Just wow... Sweet moments, I was fourteen... ❤️
I still love this song!!! I was 17 when it first came out now I am 44 still hasn't lost it's goodness!
I'm 2 stone heavier than i was in the 80s , if i had the chance to go back in your time machine or loose the weight, give me the time machine any day. 80s brilliant times.
Man..I remember this song from back in 1984! Me and my New Wave buds cruising on Friday nights pumping out our favorite New Wave Tunes heading to the Underground clubs in Downtown Toronto for an all nighter of dancing!
Those were the days!!
Yes, they were the days.
They were so ahead of their time, great beat and sound for an Aussie band back then. Not many Australian dance songs made prior to them.
A definative '80's song, great music is forever, this is great music.
Das ganze Album Heartland von 1983 ist Mega Klasse!!
I was born in 87 and I got into 80's music big time by the time I was in 9th grade in 2002 so highschool and college memories include mostly 80's synthpop and new wave stuff. Some of my friends at work thought I was weird because I stuck to the 80's while they all hopped on the dubstep bandwagon. Still no regrets here! :D
Without a doubt one of the 80's most underrated bands!
Esta canción es formidable, muy buena, un excelente logro que solo en los 80's tuvimos la dicha de recibir !!!
The best Real Life track in my opinion
I love this band and this song! Plus I heard that they are really nice!
A definite Classic and ahead of its time in the 1980's!
jeffrey kicia it was not a head of its time it was the current technology of its time.
2:49 love the 1980s guitar sound.
The golden age of Synthesizers.
Yeah but they'd be nothing without the synth sounds.
Can't be still while 80's music is playing loud!
This is not only "Real Life", it's real music as well, when people knew that electronic music doesn't have to sound like screws in a blender and could have real harmonies that are pleasant for your ears.
Ahhh...I remember blazing this song in my 280ZX with t-tops out. Man..those were awesome days.
Cant believe this didn't go higher on the charts here in the USA. I bought this on 12" back in the day. I love this song!!
Wow. great use of the synth vocoder. And that keyboard being played, I think is a Roland Juno-106. Ive owned one of those since the 80s. Woudnt trade it for the world. Classic board. Great times.
My Gosh haven't heard this song in ages!!! Good memories.. definitely miss the 80's!
Lead singer, David Sterry, is Ben Stiller's doppelgänger! I woke up this morning with this song in my head for some reason. Hadn't heard it for eons. Great nostalgia trip this clip.
I always thought he looked like a young Ben Mendelsohn.
I had an amazing experience with this song one night in february '11. I woke up in the middle of the night around 2AM and started listening to this song on my iPod. I was half asleept-hat weird state of consciousness where you're aware of your surroundings but not quite in touch with reality....and as I heard the lyrics "there's a face before my eyes their closed but I can recognize the danger!" I became terrified because I actually thought there was someone there in the hallway.
Holy shit I miss the 80s!!!!
Love this, a classic.
I always liked those 80's style drum kits.
Not many artists have a full CD of awesome songs. I love this group... nothing beats the 80s.
best album ever, love and miss the 80s
Keine Ahnung wie alt ich war als ich das zum ersten mal gehört habe muß aber schon ewig lang hehr sein
Aber immer noch super da kommen große Gefühle hoch DANKE
I'm 55 and miss the 80's!
One of the most "80s" 80s bands
Sometimes I will catch myself singing this song.Love it,remember it so will.Loved the '80's.
...right...
Great band,always on my mind!!!
I LOVE THIS SONG SOOOO MUCH IS THE SOUND TRACK OF MY CHILDHOOD AND EARLY TEENS! PRIVILEGE IS ALL I FEEL AND SO MUCH NOSTALGIA
This song is an an acid trip
british, aussie, european 80s music, love you all!
They where a great band to watch live in the Pubs. They used to play this near the end of the giggs. Perfectly describes the fans after good night out down the local. Between this song and Face to Face to hard to choose between them as my favorite. The day after the night before i'd find myself waking up to Send me an Angel and cranking up the stereo. Good old days :)
+Poppy Grum I was lucky enough to see them play support for Thomson twins. They were freaking awesome. I saw rhem at Collendina country club not long after they were a class act.
I USED to go every monday to her majestys pub where they played for free
Aussie eighties!....can't beat it..
A pity none of their singles were released in the UK, despite being produced by a British guy.
This is criminally unknown
Rarely heard such a successful 80 Playlist my respect. Absolutely awesome
Great song!!! Thanks to youtube I 've got a chance to listen it again after so many years ...
How does it comes, that so many wonderfull songs, like this one, have been written in Golden Eighties?! Even hard to compare with today's rap-hiphop-sh!t...
i love this tune sooo much...one of the theme songs of my youth( teary eyed)....im falliiiin.....
why dont they have music like this anymore::(((love this music::))))
30 years? Where has time left....
One of the greatest songs ever!
