  • Water. We kind of need it. What's the best drinking water in the world. Today I'll compare the pros and cons to each water purification system, and which system I ended up buying for my home. Berkey vs distilled water vs reverse osmosis vs natural spring water that you collect yourself at a local spring.

    The recommendation on the Berkey website is to change filters every 6 months to a year I believe. It depends on your usage though. We have a Big Berkey and are a family of three and go through a LOT of water - we fill it twice a day usually. Another con is just cleaning and flushing the filters - it just takes time. But still it's the best filter out there, so we just keep using it. We also use their shower filters, not just for our shower but also for our RV water hose and even the hose to water the garden. We love the berkey filters.

    I’ve had a travel Berkey with Flouride filters since July. I have traveled from NY to Texas and NY to Connecticut with it. It was worth the time to unscrew. I’m impressed that you finally got one. It was interesting getting your take on Kangen. I can’t drink any other water besides Berkey water anymore. It makes a huge difference. I actually try to rinse everything with Berkey water too so flouride isn’t on my dishes or produce. Great video. I’ve never been more impressed with a health video because this is incredibly important. Probably the most important video for health. It all begins here. I have done 6 - 5 day water fasts with this water since July. It has been a lifesaver. I’m down like 20 lbs, I’m feeling better than I have in year. This is really good stuff. my town fluoridates water so I used to buy "purified drinking water" from Target or Walmart (with about 6 ppm of "minerals"). When the shelves became empty last year, I considered Berkey but, remembering all the lugging of water I opted for an APEC RO system ($300 w/ fittings & hoses). It has a mineralization cartridge that adds calcium (carbonate?) at about 20 ppm. It tastes good, and doesn't dehydrate. I think you are right about adding lemon though. Great video!

    I've been drinking distilled water for years, I don't drink the 3 - 4 liters like they recommend I just drink maybe 2 3 glasses a day. I'm personally never really thirsty, maybe this is because I eat mostly fruits/veggies and drink herbal tea? Or maybe my body is just great at staying hydrated. Although when I was eating gluten I was always frikken thirsty!
    I personally find less water better because as you said the minerals are what you're looking to get, so as long as your eat the right foods you should be fine. Although supplementing with something like ConcenTrace or other minerals (especially magnesium, iodine and selenium) may be a good idea considering most fruits/veggies nowadays is stripped of the good stuff like that due to shitty soil.
    I must say I also think its bullshit about distilled water removing minerals, I don't believe it removes organic or inorganic minerals, the body does that part and it simply uses the water as a means of transportation. Obviously when you want to help the body remove shit then water with nothing in it is the best idea, that way it has space for the shit your body wants removed. Anyways that is my 2 cents on the distilled water part but I personally believe if you are really thirsty then maybe you need to figure out why that is before drinking a shit ton of water of any kind.

Currently but spring water that I found they also use ro on it.. crazy business. I AGREE about getting hydration from food!!! Best advice ever. I tell people that I eat lots of fruits and veg and drink less water and feel hydrated. Interesting about feeling dehydrated drinking certain “dead” water. But does make sense because of the natural minerals being depleted and ph being low.

    I have a Big Berkey. When the water no longer pours out of the spigot, I take the top off and dump the unfiltered water down the drain, putting the part with filters upside down in the sink. I then pour the rest of the filtered water into a glass container until I use it. Reassemble the Berkey and fill up with faucet water 💦 to be filtered. Hope this helps you.

    You could easily modify that berky so the plastic dosent sit in the water using a peace of steal stove pipe to raise the top half above the bottom water line . They are usually tapered at he ends like the berky is .

      You hear everywhere that you have to drink lots of water. So I did, I drank up to 3 or 4 liters a day and felt tired, got headaches, poor appetite.. Some time ago I reduced it to 2 to 2.5 liters of liquid a day and I feel much better. Guess it depends on the person really. The same goes with breakfast, everyone says you need breakfast etc. It made me tired and so on.. Yes, I tried different foods. Without breakfast it's okay for me, but I know lots of people who literally can't walk properly without

    • @JohnDrummondPhoto
      @JohnDrummondPhoto Před 4 lety +3

      Better to say "Too much water isn't hydrating". The body seeks homeostasis; a place of chemical balance. When you drink a lot of water, your blood begins to dilute and salinity goes down. The body automatically excretes excess water to regain proper salinity; but then excretes more than necessary, so you wind up dehydrated. It's like a pendulum, which doesn't just stop in the middle but swings to the other side. So then you drink more water to recover what you peed out.
      If I drink more than 2 liters of water a day, I'm in the bathroom all day. Everyone's different, I reckon, on how much water you need.

    Hi KC! Good show, loved it! (Camera Conspiracy favorite ;) ) Also important subject.. Just a note. I drink RO water more than 10 years now, and the kit is a US brand I use. The whole system is under 200USD and the yearly filter change is approx. 40USD (of course in my country's money) So, its not that expensive, what You mentioned. But, of course there are several brand and the price limit is the sky...
    Also, the water pressure at the tap depends on the whole water system's pressure. We've got 6 bars or ATM (~90PSI), and the filter reduces it to 4 bars or ~60PSI. So it is quite fast :)
    Anyway... the point is, we have to drink clean water. And don't listen to others! Dont drink from the toilet! It is not clean! :D Dogs are wrong.

  • @TheWaveSon
    @TheWaveSon Před 4 lety

    I use this system, its actually a good thing that the filter does not starts from the very bottom cause many tap waters consist of some small parts that stay at the bottom cause they are heavier than the water (I have some rust residue from the old pipes) and its not a big deal, the water at the bottom does not stay still and becomes old because you fill it every time with more water... you do have to clean the whole system every few months (also to scrub the filters with a scoth brite)

  • @phubans
    @phubans Před 2 lety

    Yeah, in my David Icke following stoned 20s I drank nothing but bottled spring water to avoid fluoridated tap without realizing that spring water probably has higher concentrations of fluoride than all other bottled waters, lol. I talked to a guy that worked in city water purification and he said the best water to drink was probably commercial bottled water (reverse osmosis with added minerals) so I switched to Aquafina and actually loved the taste but hate all the plastic and the fact that I'm paying like $60 a month for water. So today I decided to pull the trigger on a Berkey and I can't wait to try it out.

    Pretty much my conclusions as well. Distilled might be ok in the short term to remove some toxic metals and chelated compounds. I also found after a few months on an anti-fungal diet and supplements, and my inflammation and kidney function improved, that even moderate amounts of salt does not cause me to feel thirsty.
