  • In this short video, I'll delete the chrome emblems and badges on my 2018 Tesla Model 3 Performance Stealth Edition using plastidip! This is a cheap and relatively simple way to customize your ride. I highly recommend giving it a try. 👍🏾

How does Plastidip hold up to car wash brush? We don't have any brushless washes in our area.

I’ve never taken it through one. But I’d imagine it’d rip it off. I wouldn’t recommend trying it.

Does it stay on with a car wash? I feel like the pressure hose would knock it right off or chip it? Am I wrong? I would love to do this. But also want to black out the stripe! Gonna be hard

I pressure wash mine frequently. Still looks perfect after over a year. Idk about an automatic car wash though. I’d advise against taking your Tesla through those either way lol.

Gee, I anticipated peal-off of excess black plastic on blue paint would pull plastic off chrome. We didn’t see you score the edges. What causes it to separate?

I didn't score the edges. That's the beauty of plastdip. You don't need to. Should pull away just like in the video if done correctly.
