Those hidden hinges are 💰💰💰🔥🔥🔥!!
They were tricky but I love the look of them!
@@RangeWoodworking Might have been tricky, but it was worth it IMHO. Cool project.
The tracing out on paper was something that I really liked and will be adopting in future on my own project great work
Thanks!
Nice work. And that's a solid dufferin cue there too
Thanks!
The case looks very nice. You did a great job on the staining and the laser engraving. Why didn't you also put some felt piece in the channel to protect the cue stick a like bit more?
Thanks for watching. I honestly don't remember why I didn't. It may have been an aesthetic decision?
mate, you measured that inner gap like it owed you money 😜 great job, looks a million bucks!
Haha thanks! I wish I always measured things like they owed me money. It would save a lot of frustration!
Great idea tracing the stuff out on the paper! The finished effect is really nice, I especially like the laser engraving. Good job on the little clasps also. I just did a project where I have some little clips and they were an absolute disaster to put in. They needed little nails and I had a really hard time trying to get them to be vertical and the right distance between the little clip and the larger part. You definitely are making some difficult stuff look easy!
Thanks Rob, it certainly felt unusual taking a more analogue approach to planning but it was a nice change. I'm glad I'm making it look easy! Although I wish it felt as easy as it looks haha
Great work buddy! Enjoying your content! Keep up the solid vidoes, man!

Thanks for the kind words Tony!
I'm an avid pool player (6 to 7 days a week) and TBH I would use that case to display a collector piece, but I would not use it for my typical use. First, the damn thing is so beautiful I'd be afraid of damaging the case, lol. Secondly, most of us pool nerds carry a LOT of other equipment with us. Typically we'll have an extra shaft, a break cue, a jump cue, a glove, chalk holder, towel, tip shaper, the list goes on and on. If you ever decide to build another (which I sincerely hope you do), here's a breakdown of what's usually in the bag. czcams.com/video/9Ni8-cUVz-E/video.html
I sincerely hope you make another one of these, your work is incredible and any player would be proud to have something with that level of craftsmanship.
Thank you for your kind words. Personally I think the greatest compliment I can be paid on any of my work is to see it being used. In this case the brief was for a new case to replace the one he had which I guess must've been a minimalist version as it was simply for a cue and chalk. Maybe I'll look at building another one day that can accomodate a full compliment of equipment.
Really nice case. If it was my case I would won’t my cue stabilized inside case.
Thanks for watching, yeah I could see why you would want it stabilized. But I figured that it wasn't in the old case, so it didn't have to in this one.
Lovely work Dan. Quite an interesting project with a lot of different aspects. Awesome result 👍
Thanks Glenn! There were certainly a few new things to try on this
Very cool project
Thank you Damon!
CJ Wiley?? Maybe? Maybe?😊
Haha I'll stick to woodworking. My pool game is very sub-par.
Stunning piece. Great job.
Thanks!
That's a really nice personalized case man
Thanks mate!
I just subscribed to your channel and I'm completely impressed on this pool case! I'd love to see more stuff like this!
Thanks for subscribing and I'm glad you liked the video! I actually have another box video coming up in the next couple of weeks.
@@RangeWoodworking can't wait to see it! Maybe one day I'll be able to afford one of your cases. Don't see them like that here in America.
Nice job. I made a couple of these about 20 years ago by routering out a piece of 90x35 for the base & 90x19 for the top, then used craft felt for the inside. They were much better than the store bought ones but a bit heavy, yours looks awesome.
Thanks, Mick! I imagine those you made are still standing strong today.
Adorei muito!
Thanks!
enjoyed your video..can you tell me what engraver you have?
Thanks! It's a Sculpfun S9 I think. I got it off Banggood.
Please tell me where I can purchase the Hidden hinges bored into the case.
Here's an Amazon link to them! amzn.to/3TeMmKc
Have ya ever made a pool q
And case?
I've made a cue before. At the moment I don't have a lathe or any woodturning experience so I wouldn't even know where to start!
For the love of God, use a push block/stick before you lose your fingers...
Noted. Thank you.
