what? a thousand dollars for that? i wouldnt buy it even for 10 dollars
Being a woodworker myself, I can honestly say the most astounding part about this video is that this gentlman hasnt lost any fingers.
gives me shivers when he uses the table saw....
That's why he's running a business making money, and you're a woodworker building a couple bird house kits in your garage. He's not a scared little beta.
@@littlejackalo5326 its when you arent scared of machinery that you do dumb mistake if you work in wood working you should always respect your tools
@@littlejackalo5326 Many people missing fingers said something similar at one time. Oh, and you're a condescending jackwagon.
@@littlejackalo5326 woah buddy who hurt you? Why so angry? I build 200k kitchens for a high end company, and many of my coworkers have missing fingers. I know what I'm talking about litte man.
Thanks for doing videos without music and only the shop sounds ! It is at lot more enjoyable !
Thanks for watching!
Holy truth ! Thanks dear Friend !
I'm amazed that man still has all his fingers...
Whole video was thinking the same you wrote. 🤯
I’m amazed how dumb that comment is. It’s like you both channeled the same dumb thought.
My rear end puckered watching him slide that lumber through that table saw. 😳
I am literally disgusted. He's not even wearing a high visibility jacket.
@@Wooargh LMFAO!!!!!!!
My thanks to the talented craftsmen and women who let us look over their shoulders. It is such a joy to see such fine workmanship.
Nothing beat old machines and knowledge from the past.
Very skilled😁👍👍
Agree! too bad our younger generation will be all about tik tok and only fans!! Once these older generations die out, we're all fu*ked!
Newer tools are objectively better.
@@Kafilkavich23sorry you refuse to grow as the rest of the world passes you by 😢
Wow that's a lot of work! Amazing craftsmanship.
Amazing craftsmanship. Great people in the world. Love the Korean people. Very hard workers. Bless.
Amazing work. Truly a master at his craft!
Thanks for watching!
So cool to see how these are made. There is so much work to making these than I thought. Some amazing craftsmanship done here.
Best stick I ever owned was about $300.00 (In the 90's so it would be nearer to your stick in this day and age) I used it religiously. It along with many prized heirlooms were stolen from me while I was out of state on business. So sad. I miss playing pool. Your video is amazing. Much respect for your craft!
Mine was about the same (wood). Had it seven years now.
What a joy to watch the process of a true craftsman
Hello from Australia 🇦🇺, fantastic video thank you, Korea is the number 1 manufacturer of everything 😊
Not even close.
@@tonyhammer3588 I agree you are not even close 😂
20$ for this stick(
No they’re not. Skilled though they, they’re good at copying as with many Asian brands.
I don't think Hattori Hanzo would agree😅
As an avid pool player and a hobby woodworker, this video was excellent. Beautiful work on behalf of the craftsman.
amazing craftmanship and skill. Much respect to your skill and perfection. It is an a piece art of that you have created.
cool.
but has he ever sunk the 9 ball on the break?
Had no idea this level of craftmanship could go into a pool cue, very impressed how much is done by feel and by hand!
This is nothing. Cues with points and actual inlays are way more intricate. High-end cues take a long time to make. The shafts are cut little by little and left to rest for months so they stabilize. Cues made like this will more than likely develop a "roll" aka go crooked.
@@kx454these cues are mass production trash
@@kx454Are you cues maker or pool player?
Have a look at the go-to snooker cue maker in London, John Parris. Order a specialty cue from them and you'll have it in 7 or 8 years! This process here is highly mechanised to how they really do it.
@@nuntana2 beat me to it 😂 Paris cues are plained by hand not mass produced on a mill like this that's proper craftsmanship no offence to this dude but there's a difference in class I agree.
Saluti dall'Italia😁
I preferred the complete dark one but both quality workmanship all the same 👍👍🙌

This is some level of precision and craftsmanship. You can tell this is all muscle memory and they've made 10s of thousands of these by this point
I love how all the tools are optimized to minimize the manual labour while not having that mass production feel to them.
Most of the job is super simple, with just a few things requiring actual skill and experience
He might have built all those tools, which require a ton of skill and experience.
All of this requires a lot of skill and experience. It looks simple because he has those.
Speaking as a retired guitarmaker with over 2 decades in the woodworking business, you're utterly wrong. Every single tiny step - every single simple-appearing motion - has pitfalls. And, there were a number of steps not shown. We're not even including the setup, tool maintenance, sharpening, and production engineering that went into it. And, lastly, wood is a very uncooperative material for precision work. Finding, drying, milling and working the right woods while ending up with a cue that is still straight requires a LOT of skill and effort.
Fantastic video, you don’t even have to be a snooker player , but those of us that are , the skills involved are amazing .
Thankyou sir and long may you continue to craft so incredibly well .
Great efficient shop and process. Lots of bespoke machines and jigs to speed common tasks. Old school ways and feel.
Great to see natural talent. Beautiful cues.
Great skill and thorough technological process.
Excellent craftsmanship!
I always wondered & I like that it's a small, Mom -n- Pop type of setting b/c that has more love than seeing computer assisted
machines banging out 1,000's of these. Hands On = LOVE. peace
😊
Love doesn't determine whether you win or lose the game.
Yeah ShockTreament, perhaps it doesn't but w/o the LOVE aspect nothing is ever truly satisfying in life. So in it's
own sick/bent & twisted way a life where love never grows is a loss.... lol, it's a hard loss but to each his own in
their journey. What I'm talking about is something that you can't know about until you're older which I learned
only after yrs of the "chase".... you might be successful yet you're empty & I have no doubt it'll hit you one day!

Hes a master at his craft .
very satisfying to watch.
Thanks .
Beautiful work 👍
$1000? WTH?
$1500 buy
more like 700 now.
Well, yeah. It's not a Sportcraft cue you'd pick up at Wal-Mart.
No wonder it costs so much!!! I can't do that!!! Great job.
Beautiful craftmanship and very artistic work !
Amazed all the work behind a pool cue
What kind of wood is used and it looks like they're worth a $1,000.00?
I worked for a US company, doing inlays on their cues. Those looked like they were using cocobolo, a Brazilian hardwood. We made a lot of butts from it. Mostly we used Birds-eye and Tiger maple, and ebony. We made a cue for hustlers. It looked like a standard off-the-rack, one-piece, poolroom cue. It was really a custom made balanced and weighted two-piece cue.
If this is Asia, Japan...etc. The white wood could be: Isu, loquat and/or camellia. Isu being the hardest of the three. But in this day and age they could very well be importing Hard Maple and Ash from North America. The color woods, they have great variety to choose from.
Fantastic work!
blast from the past. it is amazing how it is possible to produce something this way.
What a work of art! Bravo.
Beautiful job.
Interesting how these cue's are made. It is a stark contrast to how John Paris makes his. If anyone is interested, it's worth a look.

Definitely a Masterpiece ! Definitely a flawless work ! Definitely he's a Wizard !
Can't take eyes 👀 : Im at the happy point of no return....
Golden hands & Great passion.... Great attracts !
Beautiful cue, but I can't find any info on the web about how well they play. Must not be selling many in the US.
What is it that makes these go for $1000 compared to some intricately designed hardwood models with exotic material inlays that are available for just a fraction of the cost?
Most likely how they feel to expert players and word of mouth it's obviously something that needs to be experienced to appreciate. Expert players won't care about inlays.
@@JohnFrumFromAmericaIt should be even cheaper without inlays. Then it's just a rod of wood.

Very interesting. Great job on the video, too.

Very difficult work, but well done and very elegant
$ 1000/pc but cant buy a descent table saw with riving knife.
Is that maple with bocote splines? Beautiful. I WANT one!
This video brought to you by the 5 guys that actually play pool.
Beautiful work
And now you have a new customer. Would have never believed the hand craftsmanship that goes into one....
He is awesome and amazing i wish i could afford one of his amazing pool cues , and they are beautiful
What you're not seeing is after every time you make a cut on the cue, it sits in a humid room for a month or two. This allows the stresses in the wood to relax so, the cue stays straight.
See this I can possibly justify why it would be a "$1000 billiard cue" because from what I saw I wondered why this was so expensive, was the wood something special? maybe some dark walnut slabs when they made the star pattern, but standard plastic collars, and all of that. Just didn't see the labor or materials cost.
@@Mike__BI do wood turning and there’s nothing special done by these men that given the same equipment I couldn’t do, and I’m legally blind. This story about the cue going into a humid room is bad science, wood will actually bend if the humidity around it is cycled up and down. I’ve been doing woodwork most of my life and started turning wood in 2008 after I lost half my sight, you can believe that to make a cue worth that much money it is done 100% by hand tools not in a manufacturing line.
@@Mike__B On pro cue's. the wood is dry aged for 2+ years... Nowadays it's "baked" in an oven. None of these woods in this video were aged nor baked. They make for nice looking sticks but... buy a pro shaft and sand it to fit at the very least.. >>>Old dude who went from +$2k sticks to carbon fiber for under $200
@@bullyakker Wood is beautiful and natural. Carbon fiber is absolutely horrendous, toxic poison for the environment(aka all living things, including you) - truly a high level polluter. Try to consider the impact of your actions on a larger scale, not just the shot on the 9 ball with a shaft that cost you less money in the moment, because it's costing us all a Lot more in the long run.
@@Mike__B looked for this comment . No way this can be $1000.00 it would have to be handmade from scratch. some good Handmade recorders or guitars start at that price.
Great job 👌
What brand of cue is this? Surprised the joint is not the ubiquitous unilock type.
What did they put in the cue stick to shine?

Thank you, I had great time while watching and 10:19 😂👏🏻👏🏻
Haha I died when he was just walking away
OK its hand made but 1000 dollars really ? How long does it take 10 hours ?
No one forcing people to buy at this price. If they buy, there is a reason. Super expertise has a price. The law of supply and demand, if someone can craft this quality and sell at lower price, then he will gain market shares. But maybe no one can't, or want. In this part of the world.
How big is the tip? It looks massive!
