lmfao, im surprised that piano didnt burst into flames, considering how hard that guy was jamming on it.
Im sure they know...when sephiroths theme played the crowd went wild
Still here. MASTERPIECE
Thanks a lot for the quick upload! : )
was at the concert takin place 5 hours earlier, the audience's reaction when they started playing One Winged Angel and suddenly switched over to JENOVA was priceless. Thanks for uploading!
just laugh-sobbed for over two minutes. thank you
Woah, this is uploaded already?! you guys are fast.
I was there. It was so freaking great. I hope they will play next year too. Too bad i didn't manage to get an autograph from Uematsu because of the long line, but atleast i have seen him in real life. That was such a satisfying feeling. They played up to 2 encores. Now thats being loyal to your fans!
@Arth969
thx, i absolutely forgot about that track as the tune of "those chosen by the planet" (3:39-3:58) is also part of the original "birth of god" (which lasts from 3:13-4:10) :D
I also forgot that "J-E-N-O-V-A" is already sneaking into "those who fight" from 1:31-1:40 ;)
Good qualiti thx for upload kajun:-)
I was there, it was simply awesome!!!
Perfect ♡
The choir really adds to all of these tracks.
soooooo geil war die zugabe!!!
Hearing this makes me wish Wanamo would arrange an all FFVII suite
@FaberBollonius You´ve forgotten ´´Those Chosen by the Planet´´ (3:39-4:10) ! I recognized this immediately when they played it,and now it has lyrics,SUPER AWESOME! I want to have them : (
Those who fight / FF VII Battle theme (0:07-1:55, 2:51-3:13, 4:04-4:34)
One-winged angel (1:55-2:15, 3:44-4:09, 4:21-4:24)
J-E-N-O-V-A (2:15-3:30)
Birth of god (3:13-3:58)
errors and omissions excepted ;)
I was there and it was amazing! Unfortunately I couldn't get an autograph because I took too long to find the Philamornie,and then the waiting line was already too long. Still waited but didn't work. The final encore was epic, and i loved the Lost Odissey part, although i never played the game! Next year I'll be there again on the Symphonic Fantasies.
The moment the orchestra kicked in is so fucking epic.
Hey, people still listening to this masterpiece in 2021 ?
YES YES YES YES YES
wow. they did the main battle theme justice and beyond...
@al3th3i4 It's a little of One-Winged Angel. The bit before the choir stars again at the end.
@kanetidus Uh... yeah, we knew. We were there for Uematsu musics after all. And they said it before the song started.
I was there! It was so very fucking awesome!! :O
Me and my friends had tears in our eyes and clapped until our hands burned... And then: ONE WINGED ANGEL!! Oh, the hysteria in the audience was unbelievable! :D
WOW
When they remeke FF VII the battle in the life-stream needs to be a full battle and this needs to be the song that plays.
@mirrorpiece same problem here, i´ve waited after the concert at the entrance for musicians and one of the people went inside and could actually grab a autogram. I was too scared to do the same, also my train was comming :/
I hope the person I gave my stuff for Uematsu delivered it.
muhahaha I was there and i got a signature and a photo with him^^
waited after the concert at the performer entry and well with luck we could
snatch a group shot^^
@VenomousCherub I see your point. Well there is always hope for next year. And i totally agree with you. Hearing jenova and birth of a god in orchestrated bliss was legendary.
Will symphonic fantasies focus on the same games as 2 years ago? and will Nobuo and all the other composers be there as well? This was my very first orchestra concert and i just cant wait till next year^^
@lentilsonlent I was shouting curses to OWA during the first transition, complaining about it being played in every fucking concert and not J-E-N-O-V-A, and suddenly it started. It's the first time i felt pleasure by getting trolled. Now an orchestrated The Landing is the only thing left i need.
Rai Balmung In case that you didn't know, you prayer has been answered! Final Symphony 2 has FF8 segment on it and it has The Landing orchestrated along with other tracks. Not trying to promote someone else's channel, but you can watch the performance (the FF8 segment specifically) on UKRAINEFOREVER's channel.
@redcloud02
I agree it feels a bit slapped together, especially considering that the first half of it is lifted directly from FF7 piano collections/symphonic fantasies. Still, I always get excited for any new orchestrated FF7 themes, especially considering that FF7 never got a full orchestral album the way FF8 did. However, I think this piece will sound ten times more amazing when they remaster the recording and release it on CD.
Lol, we got trolled outta OWA once again eh? At least the full thing xD. I love the medley, it flows so perfectly with all the themes scattered everywhere :D
@RadicalDreamer17 I'm sorry about FF8 and FF9, but this concert gave so many other games and songs the proper attention that they've never received before. FF8 and FF9 have been given as much attention as others in concerts like Distant Worlds, 20020220, and the tour de Japon. FF8 even has it's own orchestral album. And since when were the tracks that they played here dragging to long? They didn't even play the entire pieces in this specific video.
Even European audiences still interrupt the performance with the predictability of Pavlov's drooling dogs every time One-Winged Angel tiredly checks in for duty. What they should be excited about is all the new material being covered in this piece, though I'm glad they aren't because then they'd cheer over that too. Props to the arrangers for trolling the philistine OWA fanboys three times in a row now.
Stage's lifestream are reunion!!
They should record it.
Simply a master piece, that's how J-E-N-O-V-A must sound, not like in the Distant Worlds concert
FFVII...The best of the bests! >-
AT 02:20 I HAVE START THE BATTLE AGAINST SEPHIROT
i'm wonder if the public know that they play music from FF7
was there and at 1:55 I had such a goose flesh.. :)
@toruweber Will they play Final Fantasy and games like that again? Or is that unknown yet?
Arrepiou até meus pelos da teta agora !! Franquia incrível.
I want to go play FF7 again! Yo know the music from a game is great when you get the CD and listen to it all the time.
Bongos for 'One-Winged Angel' never felt so right.
@mirrorpiece I don't really know, but it will be the same kind of music :)
Final Fantasy VII isn't even my favorite of the series, but lord, the music is good.
@VenomousCherub
Bummer. Would have been a great opportunity to explore other awesome Squaresoft soundtracks like Xenogears, Brave Fencer Musashi, etc.
lol the kid ont he piano was fucking awesome
@SchatzjaegerMireille
If you read my post all the way through you would know that I am aware of this running gag (see last sentence: "three times in a row"). I'm sorry, but any audience that rudely appoints itself to make noise over the performers deserves condescension; it's a breach of etiquette and shows disregard for the musicians.
@mirrorpiece hey i was there too !
but i got 4 autograph :D
therefore i needed to wait ~ 3 hours ...
@lentilsonlent Arnie didn't do the arrangement...
@ModulMazzle You don't like Nintendo?
Hmmm. Something's missing.
yea. dramatic tension :P
Panpanpan pan pan pan pan
no one person WAS slashed in half by Sephiroth
@mirrorpiece They will come next year again ;)
@mirrorpiece MWHAHAHA i waited like 15minutes to be picked up from the concert hall and there.. i saw him.. uematsu san smoking and no one around him asking for an autograph ;D
They should have ended with Victory Fanfare T.t
accepted* xD
I hate when people cheer and clap in the middle of the act
i like how people though sephiroth's them was starting
Well, that's why it's live
This is the real Jenova theme, not that crummy thing they've been trotting out at Distant Worlds
@heason
It sucked because rather than using the orchestra to enrich the harmonic complexity of original, they cut out parts from the original (i.e. the violin part, present in this version). Also, Arnie Roth pretty much just writes big band brassy jazz music.
ACCUALLY ITS ADVENT CHILDREN
The concert was good but... come on. FF8 and FF9 were NEVER played this time. I think it would have been better if they used more songs from ALL the FF games in the FF medley... instead of focusing on a few famous tracks and make them drag too long. I'm tired of hearing the same tracks getting played and other beautiful tracks being forever ignored.
And I hope Xeno will have a tribute one day (the recent orchestra album was encouraging... but it left me wanting for more, for something bigger).
The guy finally got slashed in two...look, the video now has two thumbs down.
"BEAT THAT SHIT. INTO THE GROUND! IF U DONT... ur life i forfeit.......
toilet toilet toitelzzzzzzz! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" - it doesnt translate well....
This is as awesome as an awesomely awesome epic rendition of an awesome game music can possibly be, but c'mon enough with final fantasy....
They should do Castlevania or Suikoden and probably the Xenogears/saga already
