    Ahhh I love when Indian and Portuguese cultures mix
    Chamuça comes from our "samosa"
    Conversely, our words "pav" and "batata" come from PortuguĂȘs (pĂŁo)

    Chamuça infact is an Arabic savoury. However, its more popular in India than in Arabia. So, it could have made its way to Portugal either thru the colonies in India or Ras Al Khaimah ( ex portuguese colony in the MiddleEast) or thru the moorish influence.

    I am going to Portugal in two weeks to visit my girlfriends family. What shall I learn? I hope you can go over the essential grammar and vocabularly in future videos

      OlĂĄ! Thank you for your message. :) Two weeks is not a long time, maybe you can focus on learning greetings and simple structures to be able to get around (check the videos: at the restaurant, at the coffee shop, giving directions). To get an idea of basic grammar you can check this video (if you haven't yet): czcams.com/video/amidLAp2l94/video.html. There is going to be a live workshop on the 28th: czcams.com/video/1F9NX2Jovbs/video.html You are invited, and you can bring any questions you have! See you then :)

(sorry for using "voce" (I saw that lesson as well ;)

      OlĂĄ Chris, muito obrigada! O teu portuguĂȘs jĂĄ me parece muito bom. :) Eu ia sugerir este vĂdeo (at the coffee shop), mas o vĂdeo sobre o restaurante tambĂ©m pode ser Ăștil (czcams.com/video/dgPwPU2fcLE/video.html&t).

      VocĂȘ is correct, but in Formal situations Christ. Don't underestimate your Portuguese skills.
      Yes, indeed, you can use senhor and senhora like in English sir, mister, miss, Mrs.

    Eu nĂŁo entendi muito bem o singular ou o plurall dos pastĂ©is de nata. Se eu gosto de sĂł um, preciso dizer pastel o pastĂ©is? Obrigada pela resposta, eu sou italiana e nĂŁo entendo inglĂȘs muito bem.

    • @Portugueselab
      @Portugueselab  Pƙed 3 lety +1

      Olå! Se queres só um, podes dizer "pastel de nata". Se queres mais do que um, dizes "pastéis de nata".
      Mas quando estås a dizer que gostas de os comer, em geral, dizes, "gosto de pastéis de nata" (no plural). Espero que ajude. :)
