- Hi fellow gamers! I tested Apex Legends on my laptop with the best settings for my configuration. More details below:
- Intel® Core™ i7 7700HQ Processor
*Turbo Boost disabled
*Undervolted -0.130 v
- Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050 4gb
*Undervolted - Optimized Core Clock(curve) with MSI Afterburner
*Vram Freq. +650 hz OC / 3504 stock to 4154 OC'ed
- 16 gb RAM ddr4 2400 MHz
*Dual Channel
*Single Ranks
- WD Green SSD 240 gb SATA 3
- 1 TB HDD
- Windows 10 HOME
*Some services disabled
*Fully optimized for performance
So, we have like this:
- OS fully optimized
- Game optimized
- Both cpu + gpu optimized for best performance and nice temps
- Nvidia control panel optimized
- App. compatibility settings
- Cpu high priority selected
- Nvidia inspector frame rate limiter tweak
(Maybe in the future, i'll make short and "to the point" videos about those "off game" details.)
Hope this helped and happy gaming! See you in the battlefield.

Could you please make a video of how you optimized the laptop? I get like 10-15 less fps
I'll do my best to make a video in the next few days.
Josep564 j same
josep you are probably using your intel hd graphics card
What are you using to record?
How can you play without antialiasing tho. However I had that performance but since last update it's laggy as hell
With AA, i have a small feeling of lag input ... i prefer to avoid any setting that will mess with this subject.
Also, my opinion is: Either go for ULTRA on AA or disabled. No "middle" option. (Avoid lag input ...or avoid blur as much as possible.)
I prefer AA on ultra instead of disabled, but only on games where my pc is not struggling with them.
@@laptopvsgames5247 Excuse me for coming back but do you still get those fps' with today's apex version? Is it normal that my laptop can no longer get a constant 60 fps while playing apex? I'm pretty sure the bottleneck is the processor here. The situation doesn't change even with a 1366x768 resolution. A few months ago I could play at 1080p at 60+ fps with no problem whatsoever...
Edit: also, a lot of stuttering
@@riccardobasile2779 just installed, to give you a reply: Between 60 - 100+ ... with an average of 80-90 fps ... 50%+ of the time more than 90 ... and rarely 100+. The game feels nice at 1080p resolution, very low settings with 2gb texture streaming and 85 field of view.
Thanks a lot! Need to figure out what's wrong then
Why would you disable turbo boost lol you will 100% get more performance if you leave turbo boost on
One big reason: Temperatures
Reaching ~90 degrees or even more.
In that case, your cpu can start throttling and you will even lose performance instead of gaining.
Laptop vs Games very true
lol backfire
bro, i have the same configuration in game and graphics card/procesor and my cpu % is always on 100% and my gpu & is always on 0%, i dont know why this could be, please if you could help me i would be really grateful
You are running on integrated graphics.
Go to Nvidia Control Panel -> Manage 3D Settings -> Program Settings -> Select a program to customize -> 1. Select or "Add" the game .exe / launcher -> 2. Select the preferred graphics processor for this program: HIGH PERFORMANCE NVIDIA PROCESSOR
Have fun.
Laptop vs Games its not what you say bro, im sure first, because i just check it out few days ago and the configuration on nvidias panel its like you said, and second, because there are times when i boot on my laptop and it doesnt recognize my dedicated card (1050), just detect the intel graphics, i know this because on this situations i run any game and the fps are in 10-15 fps. When it recognize my 1050 the fps are in 50-55, on both situations the % is 0 on the 1050, so i know its running the game with the 1050 because if not, the frames would be on 10-15, all this situation its reaaaally weird,
@@gerardorodriguez1366 you tried a clean uninstall/install of driver with DDU? Under global setting, in nvidia control panel ... you changed from auto-select to nvidia processor? To force every program to run on dedicated card.
It can be a driver problem at first look ...or even worse, motherboard.
Before jumping to hardware problem, you could even try a fresh windows install, legit one (you can download from microsoft and activate in the same time ..or later.) Avoid any pirate version. If nothing seems to work.
But first, try uninstalling with ddu and delete any trace from the old driver ... restart pc, then install again.
