    Just a few notes.
It's pretty much establish fact that ~500 is moon level ~10 000 is planet level ~5 billion is Solar system level.
Some attacks can allow characters to hit above their power level. For example the Kameha or Picolo's Special beam Cannon focuses energy over time and hit with more power than the user's max power. Which is why Roshi was able to blow up the moon using the Kamehema when his power level was less than 500.
Goku doesn't have infinite power he was shaking a platform floating in an infinite void not the entire void itself. Multiversal is an incredible highball for goku. Even highball estimates place him at Universal+ at MAX.
The other thing I want to mention is that higher power level does not nessecary result in more physical strenght. For example if a person with a power level of 100 can life 2 tonnes it doesn't mean a person with a power level of 200 can lift 4 tonnes (or more). For example, goku struggling to lift 40 tonnes with a power levels in the hundreds of millions. Dragonball characters in Dragonball can enhance their strength if they wish too but doing so consumes ki and there is an upper limit to how high they can go as going too high will rupture their muscles and cripple them. The reason their train so much is to enhance their base strenght and to raise the limit to of how much they can enhance their strength.
Goku as a super saiyan can destroy the earth with a ki blast but it's physically impossible for him to do it with a punch.

Well king piccolo said to king fury that he can destroy the earth in the manga.
"If I'm annoyed I won't think twice about destroying your whole planet"
So you can make an argument that a power level of 260 could be the bare minimum to destroy an earth sized planet.

    • @vados8500
      @vados8500 Před 9 měsíci +1

@mayojar5264 did King Piccolo literally mean "I can blow up the whole planet" with that sentence, or did he just really mean "if I get angry I can destroy everything and everyone on the surface of the Earth" ? Because that would be a very big difference... as in the second case, even if he could indeed exterminate everyone and destroy everything on Earth, he still wouldn't be considered a planet buster though...
and by the way I doubt King Piccolo could exterminate everyone and destroy everything on the surface of Earth in one single attack, that's something that only Super Buu pulls off way later in the story with the "Human extinction attack"...so King Piccolo could be able to do it too, but certainly not just in one single attack like Super Buu did....
in my opinion King Piccolo meant it that he can destroy everything on the surface of the Earth if he wants to...because when you have a power level 260, your maximum destructive potential is that you can blow up stuff with a nuke (like King Piccolo did in the fight against Goku).
so if you have the power to blow stuff up regularly with the power of one human-made nuke, can you "destroy the Earth"? Sure, you can end human civilization blowing nukes in the major cities around Earth regularly...but, can you blow up the planet with the power of just one single nuke? Absolutely not, because in real life if all the thousands of human-made nukes blew up on Earth at the same time, our Earth still wouldn't blow up as a whole planet...so the "single nuke" attack of King Piccolo certainly can't do that, either....

@@vados8500I would take it literally I mean it's up to yourself but for me yeah I would say that he definitely could blow up the entire earth as some weaker than him would was servely tired/fatigued and fighting for the whole can blow up the moon with what energy they have left it's safe to at full power he could definitely blow UK the earth with ease. And again a guide book says that a full power roshi at that time could blow up many planets with ease and could even power a star with his energy alone. So a stronger piccolo should definitely be able to do the same and more so yeah I think we should take what piccolo said literally if you think about it

Problem is that the people writting the DB now days don'y know to do justice to true level of power the characters should have. I mean what the characters are able to do at the current stage of the super is not much different compared to later Saiyan or most of the Namek saga, with only thing that the writers seems to know how to tell us that characters are much stronger than before is by having other characters say that they are stronger.

what makes the most sense if you are too calculate a power level since its apparent there not linear, is to think of it as a measurement of intensity of the characters average capacity of power/energy they hold and can out put in flucuation, because they obviously get tired, stronger, supress there power level and increase it etc because its all based around ki energy its more complex then a dead on calculation when in motion as oppposed to just walking around not in battle or before or after a battle, think of it as a meter used to measure the energy potential within the vessel that has access to that amount of the energy and with that in mind its about intensity at that point which would be in my opinion the second part to the measurements, for a clearer understanding 1-5 isnt just 1-5 its literally in the name that there are levels and its not called power numbers for a reason, there is a level of intensity to the overall nature of the energy on each level that it reaches,
like guns pistols are pistols but each is different and can do its own particular deal of damage down to the microscopic detail, all are similar but some more deadly than others but all deadly none the less
with all that said its really no telling the exact power level to destroy a planet unless you really go into detail about each level on a 1,2,3,4,5......examination of it because each level has its own amount of intensity in energy its literally levels not just numbers to reiterate one level more or less intense and vast than the other its simple yet complicated when you think about it
or you can just go with what the guides say which dont make sense because we wouldnt be here if they did

    • @bruceleedragon0
      @bruceleedragon0 Před 8 měsíci

and to add all we can do is round an estimation of range to determine what can be destroyed based on a power level, and in my opinion what ever king piccolo power level was is the begining range of planet level of destruction just when you think about the nature of a power level in concept because average human a 5 then goku a 10 and he is literally a baby rinosaurous strength or perhaps even some thing weaker like a bull in terms of strength thats already showing how vast it could be just even if your one level above the last because the gap between an safari animal to even the strongest bodybuilders is tons on tons in terms of intensity tbh

Okay this is gonna be a long one
Essentially Toei gives more exaggerated feats than the canon
Roshi destroying the moon is baseline moon level in the manga but calculated at planet level in the anime
Piccolo destroying the moon is small planet level in the manga and Large Planet level in the anime
Vegeta is Planet level in the manga.
However in the anime due to his Arlia feat and King Vegetas feat he scales to Small Star level
Frieza destroying Planet Vegeta is Dwarf Star level in canon and yet calculated at Large Star level in the anime
Cell doesnt change much except he scales more solidly to solar system level in the anime as he repeatedly powers up the attack whereas in the manga the clash doesnt last long.So Super Perfect Cell is Large Star level+ and baseline Solar System level with the Kamehameha.
Whereas anime Cell was already well into Atleast Solar System level
In the manga the Buu saga characters dont get many feats and are just higher into Solar System level tier.
In the ANIME however you have a CASUAL Kid Buu destroying a galaxy in a short frame(High Multi-Solar System level) and fight on par with SSJ2 Goku.
Full power Kid Buu scales to Multi-Galaxy level due to threatening the Kaioshin world which is calculated to be at that size.
ENRAGED Buuhan is Universe level+ and Vegito SSJ was able to overpower that attack and even challenged Buu to use that power physically against him.
It was essentially Buu using Gohans infamous rage boost
In DBGT you have the following
Baby Vegeta wrapping space time around Goku with his death ball(Universe level+)
Goku destroying the Sogoroku dimension(Universe level+)
Black Smoke Shenron is stated to be able to destroy the ENTIRE universe/macrocosm(Low Multiverse level)
Omega Shenron is stated atleast equal to Black Smoke Shenron
Omegas Negative Karma Ball had the combined energy to destroy the DB Macrocosm(Low Multiverse level)
In DBSuper Goku starts out as capable of being able to destroy everything inside the universe(Universe level)
Later on Grand Kai says that their next blows are more powerful and will destroy the universe itself.
Depending on how you scale it the feat is Universe level+ to Low Multiverse level
It would be cool if you pinned this as it explains a lot of stuff for people new to power scaling.

Of course, I like the speculation about various things, so I'm definitely not saying that it shouldn't happen. It's nice that even to this day Dragon Ball has hypotheses and such made about it. I just did want to add that of course, if we are not looking at it from an in-DB-universe perspective and instead switch to a real-world perspective, it can be seen that power levels were pretty much arbitrary, and larger numbers were created to make certain characters seem more formidable, even though in actual destruction terms, the fighting and explosion sizes, etc, over time are not greater. So if readers see a mountain blow up when a beam hits it, and that beam is fired from a character with a 2,000 power level, and then later, a similar mountain is blown up when a beam hits it, and that beam is fired from a character with a 200,000 power level, then although the damage is equal, a number of readers will still feel that the character with the larger number is stronger (even though the damage doesn't show that). Unfortunately, that did lead to a kind of inflation, just like money. Whereas a dollar could by a loaf of bread at one point, after hyperinflation, it required a million dollars to buy a similar loaf of bread. That's kind of what happened with Dragon Ball Z at least around half-way through the Namek/Frieza saga, if not earlier...

Low Multiverse level: Characters who can destroy and/or create up to 1000 universal space-time continuums. The power difference between Low 2-C and 2-C characters is not possible to exactly quantify, given that the latter category has to breach the distance between universes along a 5-dimensional axis.2-C: Low Multiverse level. Characters or objects that can significantly affect, create and/or destroy small multiverses😮

All your calculations are wrong because the relation between gravity and energy is not linear, it's squared, in other words, if a planet is 10 times more gravity than earth, then the energy to destroy it is 100 times that of earth. In other words if 530,000 is enough to destroy a planet 10 times earth gravity, then, if we assume power level is linear then 5,300 is enough to destroy the earth, but since power level is not linear than the power level should be above 5,300.

    1. The PL doesn't matter cause toriyama wrote the canon story. And in the canon story he made all the characters (doesn't matter what PL they had) destroy celestial outerspace bodies such as stars, moons and planets.
Great example piccolo and roshi destroying the moon.
The PL doesn't matter when this scene is canon!!!!
Another point is frieza destroyed the entire planet vegeta with 1 finger shoot.
If someone would say he destroyed the planet because the core was destroyed, then I can say:
    1. So his attack is still strong enough to get through the planet to the core.
    2. Strong enough to destroy the core which is the strongest part of planets.
    3. He used just his finger with a small part of ki and power.
Besides Frieza in his 4th form not destroying anything doesn't qualify him weaker.
When his weaker form did something his stronger form is never ever weaker. Just stronger.
Also he could take a multi planetary and stars enerhetic leaded genkidama.
So he is for sure arround Planetary+ to Small Planetsystem quarter.

    • @Narrativerse
      @Narrativerse Před 16 dny

1:08 No, it was by using the surrounding planets of Namek because Namek alone do not have a Genki equivalent to Earth.
IF it would be Earth. Earth would have been enough.
Perfect Cell is scared of Earth explosion, it can greatly damage to potentially kill him.
And him surviving his suicide attack was a lucky fluke by his own words.
Another note to point out is that the Sun's genki is way greater than any planets. (And Cell having enough energy to destroy the Solar System would mean he got enough energy to destroy the sun since it's 99.8% of the sol system mass and video game even mention that)

thats a filler, it was made because the Vegeta Saga wasn't done yet.
They didn't even have Vegeta's actual color and didn't know that saiyans can't survive in the vacuum of space.
Which is one of the big reasons that Vegeta actual threat at the end of the Vegeta saga is not an instantaneous destruction of Earth but a chain reaction or that King Vegeta never destroyed 3 planets. (yes I preshot you filler man)

    • @Narrativerse
      @Narrativerse Před 16 dny

4:55 False on a lot of points before that but I want to point that out.
The Galick Gun is a x3.5 Attack Multiplier. (Since the Kamehameha is a x2.2 via the Raditz Saga, just do some basic scaling)
So Vegeta power level, in an event to trigger a chain reaction that will destroy Earth in an unknown timefram was 63,000 BP.
More than your "maximum" of 53k.
      Edit:
If I say that Earth is like Namek's genki wise, do you know how long it would have took for Earth to blow up?
Frieza was at 50% when he used his Death Ball on Namek, but he held back too much and made what would be an instantaneous destruction last 5 minutes.
So for the sake of it, let say that Frieza Death Ball do not have any power increase and it was x300 weaker,
The Galick Gun would be 200/63 x 5 minutes = 15 minutes 52.38 seconds before Earth blow up.

I'm not impressed. In my story I use the 'Megaton' scale for energy levels. Nuclear weapons use the same measurements in real life. IE: it requires 54 quadrillion megatons of TNT to destroy Earth.10 octillion megatons to destroy the solar system. 50 Octo-Decillion megatons to destroy the galaxy (900,000+ light year blast radius). I have characters that can do that every second for 24 hours. Yeah. **Shrug**
    10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 MT ( 10 Octillion Megatons = Standard Supernova)
    50,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 MT (50 Octo-Decillion megatons = Anti-Galaxy Explosion)
Marvel and DC have been doing crazy stuff like this since the 1950's. DBZ is impressive to casual people. Comic readers would just shrug. Imagine if people actually calculated some of the insane stuff Marvel & DC did. Hahahaha.
