I really admire how Howie always gives a comedian a chance to finish his act. It's gotta be hard to stand up there, ya know?

He was a stand up before so he probably knows that they’re going somewhere with it and they’re probably being intentionally bad at the start.
All the other judges are so brainless that they don't understand comedy. Howie is the only one who actually reads between the lines. Heidi and Simon pressed their buzzers during the telekinesis act, because all they saw was someone who "thought all these really obvious things are magic!", as if he was stupid for thinking that. Come on, you're a judge on BGT show and THIS is how far your train of thought goes???

True comedy, when we can laugh at ourselves, have others laugh with us and not be sensitive or triggered by being politically correct which completely takes the humor out of our short lives. Here I laughed, I smiled and I felt the human connection to these people whose only goal was to give me a good time. I wish them all well and say a heartfelt thank you from an American Vet who at one time prayed to have moments like these among people like all of you. The people didn't get the point of his first joke, which in my opinion was some of the worst he could've chosen to begin with. That's what made him lose so much credibility right at the start, compromising any 4 yesses.
The guy is really funny and charismatic. I recommend you watch some of his actual stand-up comedy shows.

And he didn't need weird, over the top props like a certain red headed comedian.
So you get 3 x's but also a standing ovation AND judges that pressed started laughing or smiling after they pressed.
Conclusion: the audience was dumb or the judges.... I'll go for the latter :-) . He was funny and had a character to go with. Not saying it was the best humor but funny nonetheless.
If it didn't happen maybe he dont have a material.
