  • When Subaru launched the all-new 2015 Outback in late 2014, the fifth-generation of the popular utility wagon promised best-ever levels of comfort, quiet, and efficiency. Updates to the Outback’s looks and powertrain joined a newly-enhanced EyeSight system, and wider availability of safety equipment across the model range.
Though sized similarly to its predecessor, the fifth-generation Outback was notably roomier, with improved passenger volume, rear-seat legroom, and (especially) cargo volume. More rugged and assertive looks helped round out the package.

I’m looking at a 2019 outback. I despise that 12” in the 2020 and up model, so I won’t even consider the new ones. I plan on replacing the touchscreen with an aftermarket one that is cheaper and better than the oem one. I also plan on disabling the auto start/stop with a wiring harness install in the eyesight system.
