- In this video we take a look at the EastonMade 9-16 Commercial wood splitter and the quality of wood it can process. Everyone wants to know how fast a machine is but it's about time we talk about the quality of the finished product, as unusable scrap is money lost when selling, so lets find out if this machine can put out quantity and quality.

Great video paul
Thanks Andrew!
Good job on the video. I agree, for the most part the more splits you get per pass the more scraps you produce. I have both 2 way and 4 way knives with my splitter and switch depending on the size of the rounds. Take care brother
Thanks you too!
That splitter does a nice job, the operator did ok to! Great video buddy 👍
Thanks Dave! That splitter can make an amateur look like a pro! Lol
Awesome video awesome thanks Paul , beautiful home and Land, much love always
If I'm buying cord wood now I want as much wood as I can get not fragments scraps Just point that out Great upload my friend
Thanks John!
That is tue, purchased wood should be cut and split to a reasonable size, if I’m doing the work, I keep a garbage can next to the splitter for kindling bits. This way I gather kindling when splitting, when cutting/ bucking saw castings are dropped right into a dumpster bag from waste management, this sits for a few days to dry then gets either mixed in with mulch, compost or other burn ales to start the wood stoves! I try not to waste anything!
How is the splitter holding up, any maintenance or repairs needed? Looking good on your activities.
It’s doing great haven’t had any problems just grease the push block and go.
Quick Pro Tip...turn down the audio on your mic brotha....then adjust the volume in editing room. Remember folks will forgive bad video...but bad audio will run people off your channel (saw your links on my facebook group...figured a little help might be appreciated)
Hey thanks Josh! Yeah I had the gain up to high on the mic and I made a few videos all in one day so I had a few but it’s fixed now thanks again! Sorry took me so long to get back to you for some reason CZcams isn’t notifying me on all my messages.
please do the same thanks
I am trying to decide between a 9-16 or a 12-22...I mainly split fir, spruce and pine. I want to get into selling firewood on the side. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you
I was originally going to go with the 5-11 as that would have been plenty for me compared to the residential splitter I was using, but I did go ahead with the 9-16 for the extra speed and tonage, if money isn’t really an issue the 12-22 would again be faster and more productive especially if your splitting by yourself as the 12-22 has full auto cycle and the machine can be splitting while you are getting more rounds to put on it, if you have help or someone to bring rounds to you the 9-16 would be close to as productive other than the cycle time is still going to be a little slower, hope this helps.
@@WilliamsonRidge Thanks for the reply! I think I will get the 9-16.
