Contrary to popular belief, Porsche's are actually very reliable. They are always highly ranked in JD Power and Associates most dependable car list. But overall cars are highly subjective. Some people like a certain car, others hate it. That's what makes cars with worldwide praise so incredible! Thanks for your post.
It's definitely not a horrible car. Have you ever driven one? I had my doubts going into it but was pleasantly surprised. I've driven a 993 Turbo extensively, and while I prefer that, the 996 is no slouch. Sure it doesn't look as good as the 993 or 997, but thats part of the reason why you can get one for such a good deal!

You speak the truth young man. Why do I know? Because I own a 996 1999 911 Carrera and I smiled when I saw the change in your face as you got more used to handling the car. You say the best handling car for under 20000. Why not leave the price out of it and simply say, the best handling car EVER.... The car is ridiculously awesome. The best on the road in my eyes. Drive it like you stole it young man. You can take it over the ton in 3rd gear.

You have never been on southern california roads...... I sit through 3 to 4 hours of traffic a day. No way in hell I will buy a stick......Problem matic tiptronic? I never had a problem with my transmission.... I sold my last porsche with over 135k..
