Partick Thistle have some of the best supporters not just in Scotland, but the UK. Firhill in Glasgow was bouncing after Thistle beat Airdrie in the play-offs. #football #soccer #uk
A vote for Birmingham City - I've run into groups of them on nights out in three different countries and ended up having great craic all three times. Up the Blues!
@@jamesirvine9493because they win all the trophies domestically and usually younger people tend to go for the best teams at the time of them growing up
@@espben360 thats not how it works in scotland, you support the team your family supports most of the time, if you are a catholic you will support celtic for sure

Partick Thistle are the Scottish equivalent to Tranmere Rovers both live in the close proximity of 2 huge clubs and will never be as big as those neighbouring clubs. Both have good loyal fanbases.
If I was a Glaswegian, I'd support Thistle! Prefer grass roots to their corporate neighbours@ Like the kit - like yellow, red and black - quite striking!
Amazing game. Hopefully the lads can now make it to the premiership. Been to many thistle games before and their fans are definitely one of the best in Scotland
As a Glaswegian St Mirren supporter, I hope Partick Thistle get promoted. It'd be great to have one of the nice teams from Glasgow in the Premiership and I could walk to the stadium! Those fans were amazing and as others have said, it's great to see so many kids that aren't enticed towards the dark side. Great video, Sam, as always
The Maryhill Magyars - nickname (taken from Hungary’s Magical Magyars with Puskas) - also, the ground was proudly publicised as “Firhill for Thrills”.. Fondly remember going to Firhill as a kid on a Saturday in the mid 1970s asking for a “liftie” (getting someone to lift you over the turnstiles without paying) The Jags had a good side then with the likes of Alan Rough, John Hansen, Denis McQuade and Joe Craig and their manager with Celtic Lisbon Lions: Bertie Auld. Good luck in the playoffs.
I'm a Thistle fan, but I'll readily admit that facing the likes of Drew Jarvie used to cause considerable angst! Airdrie this season have played some great football, so who knows for next season.
Would really like to see Patrick in premiership but do something about camera position and behind goal. Looks awful and main stand looks terrible constantly empty. Cracking looking stadium from main stand out...apart from that old home end behind goal!
been to a few thistle games v kilmarnock at firhill and rugby park between 2013 and 2015 and found the autmosphere to be sterile but things may be different now
It used to be an open terrace, unfortunately the grass & weeds took over. Can’t see why Partick can’t clear the grass and weeds and have the open terracing again
Top bloke gets on well with fans everywhere. Great shame there is no real challenge to Celtic and rangers. Would still be great to see the resurrection of third lanark
Partick was my dads team, he couldn't stop me from being a Tim tho, I always follow Partick, over two legs Partick were a much better more skillfull team. Raith got lucky. Ross County will hammer them, I honestly think it will be a pummeling home and away. Raith best chance would have been St Johnstone. Ross will stay up and Partick will win the Championship next season. Livingston is going to struggle.
That is the truth where Partick Thistle has the most underrated fanbase in Scotland if not the world and I do hope to watch a Partick Thistle match with them by buying a ticket as well as buying the footballing club's merchandise, good friends!!!LONG LIVE PARTICK THISTLE!!!🏋🏻♂️🏋🏻♂️🏋🏻♂️🏋🏻♂️🏋🏻♂️🏋🏻♂️🏋🏻♂️🏋🏻♂️🏋🏻♂️🏋🏻♂️🏋🏻♂️🏋🏻♂️🏋🏻♂️

When i lived in Scotland in the 90s I worked with a guy that had played for Partick. He got injured and had to get a real job, there was a few fights at work with people making the old "Partick Thistle Nil" joke, he was very loyal.
Who else has an underrated fanbase???
Watford
Plymouth Argyle! Class club in all regards

Dunfermline Athletic
Thistle being in Glasgow means they get respect for their fans not supporting 'them2'
Maximum respect to these young guys. Would be the easiest thing in the world for someone in Glasgow to just support Celtic or Rangers
no i dont know why you say its easy try supporting clyde thats difficult

You’re a great lad! Thanks for covering the Scottish teams . Firhill is fantastic on a night like this! FTOF!!!!

Great to see young lads supporting Partick and avoiding the darker side of Glasgow.
As a Thistle fan abroad, thanks for this!

Wow!! Great to see youngsters supporting their local club and losing it mentally at the end lol. Great stuff

Some trivia: Partick Thistle were involved in the making of the film Gregory's Girl.
been a fan since I lived in the student accomodation next door. Go Jags. Supporting from Canada.
great to see the young guys having a ball,,,,,,( from a bhoy)...good luck jags....
Now this is what I call a birthday present. 🇧🇪
You know you're one of the biggest clubs in the country when your celebrity fans are Jack & Victor
Thistle have always been easy to cheer for from overseas, where one might roll one's eyes at how seriously the Old Firm is taken. Great video!
I used to watch Airdrie at Broomfield.Fantastic memories. The players on the touchline were only about 6 yards away.
Drew Jarvie,Billy Wilson etc 👍
Some fantastic Lanarkshire derbys
I'm a Thistle fan, but I'll readily admit that facing the likes of Drew Jarvie used to cause considerable angst! Airdrie this season have played some great football, so who knows for next season.
I found your channel this week and subscribed. Your enthusiasm is fantastic
Great video, as a Wolves fan I’ve always had a soft spot for Partick Thistle, but I prefer their Amber & Red hooped shirts with black trim
The PIE zoom and point was chef's kiss! Hope we can all look forward to more of the same quality content when next season rolls around 👍
fair play to these fellas - so easy to be a Tic or Gers fan in Scotland never mind Glasgow!
Great atmosphere, would be great to see them promoted
Brilliant video and fair play to those Thistle fans!!
As a Airdrie I don’t about that because last year we were in league one
Aw just love Partick Thistle ❤
Wow! Great atmosphere
Ooh, The Banter
I hate the new corner rules, ball doesn't even have to be inside the quarter circle anymore, it's a joke.
Dennis Wise at Chelsea would place it a metre away in the 90s/2000s...I hated it then!
Great video thanks 🎉

What a Night ! Sad i missed you sam but i loved it ❤
Will need to create good atmosphere against Raith who are tougher opponents on league position
been to a few thistle games v kilmarnock at firhill and rugby park between 2013 and 2015 and found the autmosphere to be sterile but things may be different now
Brilliant stuff
Quality vid, ground I'd like to visit 👍
Great stuff
Another great video Sam ❤
Will you be covering the rest of playoffs? Will be two very good games next week.
#monthejags
The one stand looks kinda like the one at Craven Cottage. Is the stadium in this video another one by the same famous architect?
❤💛🖤
Brilliant report! Airdrie played really well, but at the end of the tie, Thistle did enough to progress.
Like a heavy metal concert love it
Which club does the ground hopper you interviewed support ?
Reading
Thistle 🤔
Let go 🇧🇪🇧🇪🇧🇪👏👏👏
Will they ever build a 4th stand?
It used to be an open terrace, unfortunately the grass & weeds took over. Can’t see why Partick can’t clear the grass and weeds and have the open terracing again
@@Steve-gy3bxbecause we don’t really need it
@PTONTOP1971 in that case why not build some corporate boxes or a hotel?

They breed them tough up there with shorts and no tops on. Good luck Thistle
❤😊
Good to see the young lads staying away from Rangers & Celtic
I nearly got chucked out of Firhill just because I had a mankini in my bag lol
shame most of these fans haven’t been here since the tough tough days of thistle
FIRHILL FOR THRILLS 😂
Partick first goal was offside shocking officiating
Miles offside. Bigger teams always get the decisions.
