@@tainii-san5879 there's evidence of h20 created ice on Mars, which means it may have sustained life in a way similar to Earth at once point.
At this point, I think its a matter of discovering aliens, rather than if they exist. Maonly because within out own solar system, we see there is some leeway to the "perfect combination" for life to form, and its enough to reasonably expect that it can reoccur after a few trillion tries (referencing various planet's in various systems)
@@hellfrozenphoenix13 I honestly believe that we're one of a kind when it comes to life forms such as our self.
I'm not really a believer in aliens but life is not only the big things around us that we can see and interact with ( like mammals and the like) , there is undoubtedly life on other planets such as microorganisms, bacteria and others. But when people say life they think of unimaginable creatures that have made contact with us. In that part I do not believe, in the fact that there is primitive life on other planets I do not need to believe as that is a fact.
@@tainii-san5879 oh, by aliens i personally mean any form of life that's not of our own. There may not be life that tries to make machines to advance like we do, but I think finding something like a mammal or aquatic being on another planet in one of these galaxies is highly possible.

Random thought:
It was briefly mentioned in the video, but “Listen to the silver box” is a curious line. Matpat said that it seemed like it could be a radio. I agree, and think it could be referring to the radio in ‘Storm Safety Tips’. In that video it said that the noise coming from the radio were ‘auditory hallucinations’ and should be ignored-maybe the creatures are trying to get people to listen to the noise in order to lure them out of their bunkers or something?

For some reason this reminds me of that Goosebumps story "Welcome to Camp Nightmares" where it turns out the protagonist was an alien and the titular camp was a government test for the protagonist to see his readiness to travel to Earth.

I noticed, in the first set of videos, the monster on the house was credited as Mary. In this set, more specifically in the Regnad Computer video, according to the “story” that the AI presents, Mary was swept away, and then Jack was hearing voices, saying things about keeping them safe. The voice also asked if he could see them, and that they had become something else. I think Mary was transformed when she was swept away, and became that monster on the house.
A lot of the “facts” in the Deep Blue video were incorrect on purpose. The “sting ray” was a manta ray, the picture of the Marianas Trench was NOT actually the Trench, there are some animals that can live in the Trench, and most importantly the Demisia Tunnel does not exist.
Was gonna say... the Marianas Trench is way bigger than that hole. lol

@@CazzyVR It's incorrect on purpose, to sow a sense of unease. Usually in informative videos like The Deep Blue is imitating, you can trust what's being told to you. It makes you wonder what else you're being lied to about.
It's a clever little narrative detail that makes the video a lot more effective than it would be otherwise

The story about Jack and Mary and how Mary "turned" is refrence in the Christmas home video near the end.
Actually, "nothing can live in the Mariana's Trench" is not just misleading for this video series purpose, it's also factually incorrect. The first(and only I know of) probe we sent down there caught sight of a creature shuffling up the mud down there the second they turned the lights on
We should send sleeping masks with the next probe. Best accomodate our future overlords and plant positive memory-seeds from the start. 😁

If you look closely at Jupiter's second description about the Great Red Spot "It is not an eye" becomes "It is an open wound" for a split second. The Iris is eating it's fellow planets (if you can even call the Iris a planet).

I would love to see a collab between Mat and Nexpo. I feel they would be a great team in trying to decipher mysterious and creepy stories. With Ryan's expertise on the researching and deep diving into the creepier side of the internet and Mat's experience in research and just straight theory crafting, they would make a great team in deciphering stuff like this.

So I think the creature from the sea was the same as the one from the fields as the large circular object on its head may have very well been the source of the lights we saw. Additionally, if anyone remembers, the people in the credits for one of the videos were jack and Mary, Mary was the alien, perhaps this is a reference to the Jack and Mary story where it said 'I have become something else'
This is something close to present day. They reference mercury as the smallest planet, pluto wasn't declassified as a planet until relatively recently.

I agree with you. I think Mary is the voice from space; we see a picture of her at the end of "Christmas Party", and it's clear that she has indeed 'become something else'. In asking 'Do you see me' during "Artificial Computer Learning", I wonder if she seeks him out (to join her? if so, because of alien imperative, or because she loves him and wants to be together?), or is just making him aware that the strange shape is her.
I'm also thinking that Jack is our videographer protagonist, if he was filming the events of "Christmas Party" when things went awry. Jack getting across the river in the AI story, but not Mary? They were seeking a bunker (secret place), but she didn't make it. Her encounter with the Woodcrawlers changed her, but it seems like she might still be trying to contact or save Jack.
Regarding telling the protagonist to listen to the silver box (maybe the shortwave?) that the dominant narrative says to ignore: who would be speaking through the box?
It's strange that MatPat missed or didn't seem to realize that the AI was telling the story of what happened at the Christmas party in 1985.
I feel like the meaning of gemini in this context is either a planet orbiting a star in the gemini constellation or it could possibly refer to an earth-like planet with mixed civilization of alien beings. Of course, the third option is the parallel dimension theory where this earth and gemini (earth 2) are starting merge or gemini’s reality is starting to bleed into our earth’s reality
Oh.... I like that earth 2 theory. It would make sense as well. Either these are psa types things for earth 2 civilians by earth2 people, or earth 2 sent these to help us with their monsters.

31:44 the first image after the children's story is a spaceship inside a protective dome. "Visual distortion" is pointing to the dome. The dome protects the spaceship from being seen. The arrow coming off of the dome leads to a circle. I believe the the next image of the line coming down on the circle is symbolizing aliens coming down and body snatching the humans. Notice how the circle grows giant spider like legs. I also believe the line is an extension of the arrow from the previous scene. I'm not quite sure on what "intent" and "alive" means but my guess is that each is associated with one of the circles on the first image. "Alive" is referring to the large circle where the spaceship is and "intent" is referring to the smaller circle where the human is.
Edit: Just to clarify I think the 2nd image is a zoomed in version of the 1st image. It zoomed in on the empty circle
Hey Matt! Loving this series, thanks so much for introducing me to Gemini Home Entertainment. Already binged the whole series and it's great fun!
Just wanted to give you a small warning about the next video on the channel 'Lethal Omen Commercial'. Obviously it's a commercial for an actual game that they've made. You may remember it when you were looking at their sites in the first episode. You might wanna skip watching the video and just dive right into playing the game. While the ad isn't too spoilerific, going in totally blind might well be more fun. And I would totally recommend you give the game a stream of it's own. It's got multiple endings and you can probably knock 'em all out in an hour. Enjoy!

The planet in the Gemini logo is actually one of the first pictures on Neptune taken. The blue planet at the end of the solar system video and the circle with the eye at the end of the artificial intelligence video also seem to be Neptune (acting as the Iris's lens)

"Venus can sometimes be seen from Earth" is an odd statement to me. Usually, when we can see something from here, we say we can see it with a telescope or the naked eye, not from Earth. Where are we gonna see it from, Neptune?
Actually, the Gemini logo is a photo of Neptune, maybe that's where they, or at least some of them since there seems to be multiple species, come from.

Knowing this series, that could definitely be it, but “It’s visible from Earth” is how I’d say it too.
As opposed to like, visible to us indirectly from the Hubble telescope, or one of the satellites we sent to Jupiter or something.
Venus can be seen from Earth with the naked eye. It really just looks like a bright star. You can also see Saturn from Earth this way as well. Im not sure about any of the other planets

Possibly, but I find the Iris to be the more likely candidate, given that it's the one that's alive. The other planets might just be more vessels puppetted by the Iris, using Neptune and Saturn and such as "signal boosters" in a sense so it can get to earth.
I think the reason analog horror is so creepy in a different way is that it feels raw and old
I feel like something that may be important is either that the ruling planet of Gemini is Mercury, or that the Gemini Home Entertainment logo seems to have Jupiters red spot on it. Idk, just seems like something that stands out to me.
Going along with Mat saying how the company names are important, the “Our Solar System” video was created by Remy Abode (the overall series creator). It appears the alias is an anagram for re-embody, maybe referencing how the creatures take the form of humans to blend in and re-embody them.

As somebody who’s studying astronomy at university- this was difficult to watch
the “mercury is the hottest planet” and them just accepting that bothered me
@@TodomoI mean, it’s an easy mistake to make. One would expect the planet closest to the Sun to be the hottest, right?
But then you start to think about the characteristics of Mercury and Venus.
Mercury lacks an atmosphere and therefore, while the side facing the Sun is insanely hot, the side facing _away_ from the Sun is simultaneously extremely cold.
Venus, on the other hand, has an atmosphere of thick greenhouse gases, trapping most of the heat from the Sun, resulting in an overall hotter temperature.

Not gonna lie, when I first saw the "build a 8 in concrete foundation" I read 8 inches but when Matt mentioned it was a lot for a foundation, I didn't think so until I thought about it and my brain switched it from 8 inches to 8 FEET of foundation.
Then I thought that is a lot for a foundation. After I rewind and saw the text again, I saw and read that it was 8 inches NOT feet. I just started laughing because for a good moment I was already thinking how much concrete that'll be to make it for 8 feet.
If you thought nobody would get inside through 8 inches they certainly won't be able to get inside of 8 feet worth of concrete😂

@@TimeTravelinc not quite… harbinger comes from the same root as the word harbor (i.e to harbor someone) and the french harbergier (to shelter) while scout comes from old french ”escouter” (to listen). A scout is more about information gathering while the harbinger was specifically about riding ahead and getting lodgings for a party (of nobles, for example).

In the image in the "artificial computer learning" video bearing the words "INTENT" and "ALIVE" I'm pretty sure the large circle with the oval inside it is supposed to be Gemini, the planet depicted in the home entertainment logo. If you look at the logo, the planet has a jupiter-like spot on it the same shape and location as the circle in that image.
But also notice the Visual Distortion. That’s points more closer to Neptune, which was next to the IRIS, and we learn from the latest video that Neptune is gone, and it’s a blue planet that beams down on other planets. And the 2nd picture is basically the IRIS’ influence growing down to infect the planet

The fact that Gemini *says* it's 'not an eye' makes it seem more likely that Jupiter actually is represented by that diragram.
I find it interesting that the name iris for the planet is also the name for part of an eye
