Bibisco is such a mature and nice piece of Software, I am really impressed and glad I got the supporters edition. Please keep up the good fight, you are doing awesome!
Bibisco has matured into a very useful piece of software for writers, and is a great accomplishment, Andrea. It offers simplicity of use as well as a quite deep and valuable set of tools for writers in a clean, crisp and attractive user interface. If only it had been around when I was studying creative writing! (In a previous century!đ) My fellow students could have learned a great deal from Bibisco about writing longer pieces. My sole thoughts are that I'd like to have 3 character types: Antagonist + Protagonist as the primary types; Major Characters (as is currently in Bibisco); and Minor Characters, again as are currently in Bibisco. I write in Acts, and being able to collect chapters into Acts (where I define what will be occurring - for example, the protagonist is responding to events) would be very useful as well. Finally, in the editor, I'd love to have "curly" quotes, but if they were to replace the standard keyboard quote marks on export, I'd happily accept that. And that it is available for all three operating systems - Linux, Apple, and windows, is simply wonderful.
What a terrific program, I am buying it now!
I just found out this software existed and, let me tell you something, ITâS AMAZING! đ„. Got the supporters edition right away! I have my copy, Iâm loving it and already working on my novel đ. I love the fact that itâs 50% simple in terms of use and 50% complex in terms of the options you have to craft your story. Perfect combination! đ€©. Thank you very much for this great software! đđ
I actually looked for a software as a Dungeon Master to build a rich world filled with life, this tool is not only for book writing but also for adventuring in dnd, it's awesome, also: it doesn't has a subscription model, thats why I'll gladly buy the support edition. Such a fair price for such a good software, thank you.
Bibisco has been my go too software for just about any writing project that is digital for years now. I recommend it constantly. Easily one of the best software investments I've ever made. Keep up the amazing work. I remember when it was totally free. I was heavily using linux at that point for various reasons so i needed something that would be cross platform compatible, modular, preferably portable, and functional. Bibisco had nearly everything i needed. Now I just need a section in locations dedicated to "World" as I tend to write fantasy for it to be entirely perfect. Keep it up. If the next version requires a license renewal, I'll happily do it.
I just got the supporter version. It is already helping me write my first novel. Awesome.â€
Now as I long time Scrivener user and fine paying the required fees, I am settled on it but given bibisco is also available for Linux and free is a great thing, my friend who is a Linux enthusiast needed a writing software cause honestly Word or LibreOffice aren't great with 10k+ words or 100+ docs if you divide your scene into separate docs, a writing software is much more preferred and for Linux, bibisco is a great choice that adhers as a novel writing software like character logs, premise, epilogues, prologues, etc... whereas others are basic word processors
Hi Andrea, great walkthrough all of Bibisco's features. Fantastically powerful writing software.
Thank you so much for this tutorial!! I just got the Supporter's edition today and I began working on my novel đ„° Now, I feel more confident using Bibisco!
I have been using this software for well over eighteen months. I had originally started working in MS Word and quickly got overwhelmed keeping track of all my different references and sheets. This software made managing it much easier. Highly recommended and worth the price.
is it not for free ??i thought it was..i dont want the community edition..so is it??
bibisco has to 2 version: Community Edition and Supporters Edition.
Take a look here for the diffrerences: bibisco.com/?lang=en#download
Some people think that a fiction book only need something called "inspiration". Ok, inspiration is fundamental. But if we want to REALLY be a writer we need a systematization, deadlines, planning. In the US and Europe is common that the professional writer has a deadline to finish his work. In some cases, the publisher designates an assistant to "encourage" (let's put this way) the author to acumplish the deadline.
Bibisco offers a very friendly help to guide the writer to create the environment of his story, as well the characters, the plot etc.
Bibisco is an assistent, not to pressure, but to support the writer, help him (or her), give to the writer a panoramic view of the work.
I have yet to download this for my books, and find your review helpful, very much appreciated.
Great software, I already got two other people to use the paid version!
One word: AWESOME!
In a bit more words: the tutorial enlights users also with some things they were wondering about or didn't quite know how to go with them.
Thank you for your hard work!
Tatjana
This is amazing! Thank you!
Congrats on the channel launch!
Thank you so much for this useful and inspiring tutorial!
I tried to download a bunch of free and trial of novel writing softwares. After I finally found Bibisco, the search was ending here. Bibisco was the best software so far on the market, it also supported the Vietnamese unicode language (under EN-US) by using Times New Roman fonts. Thank you for Bibisco so much.
Great tutorial for a great tool. Grazie!
Complimenti...spettacolare tutorial ! by Bibisco sostenitore da molti anni :)
Impecable explicación. Muchas gracias. Un saludo desde Valencia España.
Nice tool, i use it to develop my videogame world. Keep it up!
I purchased Bibisco beause i was looking more for a tool to centralize my characters, world infos, items, and other fluffs. I m a bit overwhelmed by the amount of sotware's features, so I m watching your tutorial with the most attention, because i gave myself the goal to write a novella involving characters I created for freeform RP and also because a lot of people involved in this RP are also amateur writers,.
I like in particular tha Bibisco can run in portable mode extracted from the archive file, this way i could run it on a thumbdrive with all m "portable" apps.
Thank you for the software and this comprehensive tutorial.
I just wrote a great novel, but it is only available for 30 day-trial in the community edition.
Jokes aside, thank you Bibisco for your great work!.
Hello , I am reading your comment from a 5 months back, I hope it is no disturbance for you. You say you started with the trial, and I was thinking to try first myself.
My question is how did it work out. Did it upgrade without deleting your content. Was it something you published from pdf free version , and if you were a new person like myself, how do you suggest it be approached.
If you have a the time I do appreciate your help from a kindred writer :)
Many thanks:') ' Salty
very nice tool! keep up the good work
Super excited to see more about this app, looking to convert from Scrivener
grande Andreaaa!
Awesome software, glad there's a linux port as well as the open source support! One feature i'd like to see in either the community/paid version would be link support for characters. Perhaps the ability to see a small snippit including image if you hover over it. Not sure if that's possible functionality or not. :)
Also PLEASE make you be able to copy the titles of things from the Project explorer. Like I needed to copy and paste a location and character name that are kinda long spelling... :(
Thank you for your suggestions! I'll think about them for the next version of bibisco!
I've been using this software since it was still free and on java, lovely program, thanks for the tutorial, I stil have problems with some stuff.
I'm a tradition pen and paper person, but this is my main software for digtalizing.
Lovely, easy, cheap, with no OS discrimination and completely portable, It saved me for wasting a ton of money on a Mac and I'm really grateful for that.
Software davvero ben fatto! Complimenti!
What happens when I have used the supporter-level functionality and then my trial ends or I end my subscription? How do I get access to what I made with these functionalities? Is there a special backup that is made? Can I reintegrate them in my project once I (re-)subscribe? It would be nice to know how this works.
bibisco does not have the concept of subscription. Once you have purchased the bibisco Supporters Edition, you can continue using it forever.
Within the first two years of purchase, you get free updates. After that, upgrades are available at a 50% discount. If you purchase an upgrade at a 50% discount, you'll receive free upgrades again within the next two years. We'll email you detailed upgrade instructions when a new version is released.
When the bibisco Community Edition trial period expires, what you created with the Supporters features will remain within your project but no longer be visible. If you purchase the Supporters version, it will be visible again.
Is it possible to cut and paste parts of a novel that was written in a word doc?
Yes, you can!
salve c e' un tutorial in italiano?
SĂŹ! E' stato realizzato da Luca Nesler, ed Ăš disponibile da poco: czcams.com/video/HQf9Ygr0WAg/video.html
