Time & Space , Transcendent moments in passing.
3/30/88 is another great one that year, into a great lovelight where Jerry and Brent engage is some great back up vocals. Another overlooked Dew to end the show is 3/24/86, which also includes the last sailor saint.
This is something special
Thanks for the upload! But what does "performed into double digits" mean. Does that mean more than 9 minutes?
@@Leib33 Good question.
I absolutely LOVE how patient these guys are with each other... waiting on the others to play that perfectly new, odd ... note/chord/riff/groove that will send the jam into brand new territory as of the night it’s being performed -and never to be new again. This is their magic. (~);}
If someone had taken too much and was freaking out, this song wasn’t just music anymore. It was medicine.
I feel this way about the whole catalogue!
@@RAEckart22 In general I understand the sentiment, but how about "Victim or the Crime"? Or "Money Money"? That could send somebody in a downward spiral quick!
:-(
i am crying. those were the days

This is so beautiful. I wish I had the opportunity to see them live. Born to late and in the wrong country.
You’ll catch them in the next life... good things come to those who wait 👌
I’m setting the time machine for San Francisco 1951. There you go.
Yet here we are together enjoying this beautiful music.

My God they were great days! There was nothing like the sheer joy of being in a Grateful Dead lot or campground and "They Promised They Would Play Tonight" and they did! And there was a sense that this was the best place to be in the whole world at that moment. It was one good ride from start to end I'd like to take that ride again!
I love these stories
Thank you , Happy Earth Day everyone!

This Is one of the many songs that turned me Into a Deadhead, Its such a Powerful song that touches my Heart and gives me goosebumps everytime no matter which Version I Listen too !!!! ✌❤😄💀⚡👀 I Guess It Doesn't Matter Anyway...... #MorningDew
Yup. Me too. MD off of Europe 72 was one of my jumping on points. I saw several stirring performances of it, but nothing beat my first Dew at the Cap Centre in 88 that was followed a couple of songs later by...Ripple! That place rose several feet off the ground that night--exiting out through the halls after Ripple was nothing short of life changing: everyone chanting, banging on stuff, smiling, twirling--all in unison. Magic!
I love this song. Deep meaning. Delivery. And the pleasing way they deliver a sense of dread.
Happy 🌎 Day! This is such a fitting song for the day! So Much Love!!
☮️
Happy 🌎 Day to you as well!
💀🎸🎶🎵🌎🌌💕💖💛🧠
One of My First Tapes was 10/18/74... with the Dark Star into Morning Dew... It hooked me & got me into taping.. Got to Record my first show 9/2/80 & my most memorable Dew...

Amazing day now!
They will never be replaced!!😢🎼🎶🎸🎵
Yay ! More previously unreleased stuff !
Absolutely adore this.
A great song, hard (for me) to watch. Love & miss you Jerry, ALWAYS.
Thank you! Grateful for posting this!
This will forever be my COVID 2020 jam. It brought me a LOT of solace during the early days of the pandemic. RIL to all those we have lost.
At 10:14, the silent interchange between Bobby and Jerry made my heart smile. 🎵❤️🎶
This is amazing i saw them one time one of the best concert i went to
Awesome Dew❤️ saw lots of shows around this time, so good to relive that magic ✨
Their Dew finale at Alpine Valley that summer has Jerry reach this depth of feeling. 87' may be even better.
"If my hair was on fire, I would wait until this song ended to deal with it." B-r-e-n-t!
4:50, the bass bombs!!
Your music is always a nice journey 💫⚡💫
Just got done listening to this the day before .on the Grateful Dead station . Had the full concert what a great show . I was there and brought back memories
Thank you always
During that 3 year stretch where there was new hope...new energy...new life. Thankful it keeps living
I was at this show. Maybe my 5th dead show and this just blew me away I knew the song from the grateful dead movie and I just could not believe i was witnessing such a thing.
Perfect timing thanks ☆
Been my favorite since it came out.......
A little shaky, but the effort and heart were in the right place. Miss you JG!!
Great Dew, but Jerry sounds very feeble.
Feeble, maybe yes, but still there for us fans, bringing it.
Release it as a Shakedown Stream!
Such an awesome version! Chills
i was here with great friend, i miss so much...
Thank you 🙏🏻🙌🏻☮️🌎💙💚
ho yes Grateful Dead ? .. Génial ..tank you Tank you !!!!!
i just turned two yesterday. i cannot believe it took me so long to get into the dead when i've been spending the last twenty two months shitting myself listening to white snake and molly hatchet.
You will be forgiven for the Molly Hatchet but the White Snake...you might need purgatory of some kind...
incredible comment
Brent! My god I miss you, Jerry hope you guys are making beautiful music together.
a few weeks ago I was at the store- someone asked me if I was
'Jerry'
I said -'Jerry who?'
the person replied
'Jerry Garcia '
rest in peace
thanks You for yor awesome songs
Best ever. ❤️❤️❤️❤️love you fam
Beautiful!
Thanks!
So beautiful 😭❤
Obviously there will NEVER be public shaming on here, but who the hell disliked this?
Russian bots trying to undermine the solid fabric of the Dead community? Its the only reasonable answer. Occam's razor and all
The first response is golden.
People who don't like licorice. I really like licorice
People who obviously don’t GET it 🌹⚡️
I've disliked videos and not even realized it. Sometimes you smash the button accidentally. You don't even realize you did it till you rewatch the video
Simplemente maravilloso,música para todos los oídos.
The best music!
It mattered!
Thanks In Advance...!!! ;)
Happy birthday to Bill Kreutzmann!!!!!!!
Yes Dave!!
Happy Birthday eve, Jerry Claus! Miss you!
Gracias
Stellar Dew
Mahalo⚡️🤙🏽
1988's have some of the most EPIC dews, Jerry's incredible emotion, also check out Brendon Byrne 3-30-88, Oxford 7/2/88!
Jerry was on fire on morning dew, smoking cut
The best
Friends!✋
I can't walk you out in the Morning Dew today
⚡💀⚡🌹
Wasn't there another show like around the 15 that year in California my son was just a few days old
❤❤❤❤
I'm older than everyone on stage here 😲
Hmmmm you wouldn't happen to be a phish fan would you?
Hey phish is awesome
I'm must have gotten the dates wrong i know my son's first show was when he was a few days old and was at shoreline i could have believed this was the show
A ying yang version. First half of the song Jerry's timing and phrasing is a little ummmm... wobbly, let's say. But wow, the playing from 7:00 on is something else. And gotta say the lighting is eerily brilliant.
I'd say yang->yin. Jerry carries the song and brings it places the band is not ready for. Bill appreciates where Jerry goes and can hang and approves enthusiastically at times. Jerry slows down beautifully and crisply later where the band can hang. Really a display of how Jerry could leave the band in the dust. This is an example of where Jerry taps into emotion and transcends the song into space no one has ever been. In time and form and structure. A new moment.
Nice sound quality
Walk me out in the morning Fondue 🫕 my honey 🍯
I was there...
Who were these guys and why were they always following me around??
So...not JG's strongest vocal...but he worked the SG best ever (IMHO)...and nothwithstanding the '74 runs)!! Bobby was standing by throughout...
Gimmie a Dew! While I “eat” my gummy bears. Dancing Bears of course!
LOVE your Mother 🌎 Earth
Uh, what the actual fuck?🤦♂️🤦♂️
@@spanqueluv9er it’s part humor.
When a person gets up in years, let’s say pushing 70, one better hope they have a sense of humor. Self deprecating humor is many times the best kind. Something to consider. Because it all starts to go to hell with age.
Poor Jerry sounds so sick here.😔😢
I think you got 1 or 2 Morning Dews per tour. You had to be lucky!
Who is that guy singing all of John Mayers parts?
boom
TYTYTY GD!
Over-processed. Somewhat industrial
Obvious flubs Jerry’s in pain.
And yes, it’s painfully beautiful.
Jerry sacrificed himself the last 10 years of the Grateful Dead to ensure it’s legacy.
Now go back and watch the October 74 Winterland version, and rejoice.
✌️❤️🎵🙏😊
just surrender to it
They didn't have lights?
Lights were not invented yet
Wake me up for my morning poo
Never a better time for the notification..
Jesus fuck!
jerry needs his glasses tightened
Ukraine........... ...... .... ... ......
Sounds like Jerry had COVID-88
Meh... good but definitely not great,Jerry's sound was on though
88 was weird. Apparently Jerry was supposed to be sober. However, he clearly is not. This is an example confirming that. He sure got his shit together in spring of 89 though. This morning dew is dog shit. Sorry.
Man, I was gonna post this same thing...beautiful, but papa bear is so locked up! Glad he pulled it together for 89’. I was at Sullivan in Mass that next year
Don’t be sorry.
