Man I wish, cinema's hair system has a really hard time with hair animation. I'll test some stuff out but from my experience it's so clunky it's almost unusable when you're dealing with a full set of hair

When i set generate to flat or spline the hair distribution becomes like a checkerboard over the object. Why is this?

Haven't tested Fur as it's a slightly different system from what I understand, but I'll test it.

Do you know how to export the opacity map of the hair texture? Also I believe once you add your exported hair fbx back in c4d I think redshirt can make a great hair texture

Yeah totally, Redshift or Arnold will handle hair beautifully. And I think the opacity map will be saved on the material so you just bring back the material, no?

I’m having a a hard time exporting my materials from the hair object out. I make my characters in character creator and then I make my hair in c4d. I can export the hair object as fbx as you shown, but no materials. What is the best approach to export the hair textures so then I can manually place in character creator material for my new hair object

Will this work if i have imported an alembic from xgen as hair in c4d? Or is there a more efficient way? If you ever tried xgen, let me know thank you

If you have alembic then that's honestly better than FBX probably. But yeah you can just export the alembic as fbx, I don't think you even need to do any conversion

Are the packs available in FBX format? I need these on Blender? 🥲

Like I said on the other comment, yes they do. If you find one without FBXs just let me know which one and I'll upload them
