- Arturia MiniFreak: eXceptional upgrade - talk & jam
MiniFreak - what a synth ... yes, Arturia did it again. Here are my reasons for upgrading from MicroFreak:
00:00 Unboxing
00:16 Intro: minimal space
01:19 Review: from Micro to Mini
04:38 Jam: fun with 5 + 1 voices - Hudba
Audio IN is the gamechanger for me.
Nice to see you over there!
Noob here. What does audio in provide? Thanks
@@ChewyLoo External audio can be processed by onboard FX, and/or the filter, or mixed with the oscillators…
Didn't know it had so many more features than the Micro Freak. Thanks for the nice video.
Thanks for the feedback! 😊
Great intro to the Minifreak, Mr Pete. I always value your opinions on these devices. You clearly explain your reasons for your opinions, so even if i don't necessarily agree with you about a particular aspect of something, i can understand where you are coming from. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for the great feedback! 😊
beautiful jam! Thanks for the content - keep up!

liked the jam
😊
Impressive.
Thanks!
You should put all your jams on spotify!
😊
Tnx Bro

The micro was already a fascinating synth, but the mini is a great upgrade. I'm hoping they produce a version with full size keys as well, since I struggle to play "mini" or "slim" keys and would love a self contained machine that doesn't require me to use a separate controller keyboard.
Yes, and a module would also be nice 😉
@@PeteMidi I would love a module. I don't care about the keys and am running out of room. Wouldn't mind saving some $$. I have like 15 keyboards.
I wonder if MicroFreak or MiniFreak would work best with my digitakt and digitone key and syntakt witch would be best mini or micro freak for my elektron setup ..Also is Minifreak standalone and microfreak
I guess it's minifreak...
the cupboard moment 😂
😄🤷♂️
Hi Pete. I know the Mini has no Poly AT.
My question: will the Mini talk to my Sensel Morph (a MPE controller)?
Thanks
Mark
If you can use the controller without mpe... Otherwise you can set the mini to midi omni mode to receive data on all midi channels, but this can quickly lead to undesirable effects....
Very nice jam, which preset did you use?
Many thanks, this actually was my first own sound & sequence with the MiniFreak
@@PeteMidi can you share the parameters if possible?
I think they should have added a 3rd oscillator , 2 does not seem to be enough. Or am I being greedy?
Too greedy 😉 some of the oscillator models already realize more than one osc
@@PeteMidi I guess engine is the proper term, but ok I will chill out and enjoy what is here 😂 thanks
How do the keys feel
For me very well, but if you have large hands...
@@PeteMidi they feel solidly built?
@@TwinCitiesOxygen define "solid", its those same springy hollow keys from the key step line.
how much are they mate
599$
why does everything have to go in the cuboard 😂
😄
Hi pete. I love the way you talk,
and your reviews are great. I was
wondering if your micro freak had
a strong smell of burnt electric
when you opened it. Mine did, and
still does, and I'am wondering if
there's something wrong with it.
Could you please let me know ?
Thanks Pete.
Thanks, my was ok!
