I listen to this around Easter almost every year now-2024, Praise God.
He loves me "personally, expensively, eternally." Wow!!
Joyfull renewed again by his sermon. He still speaks! What a gift we have from God!
2023- still powerful message. PTL!
you have never met me, Dr. Keller, but you are my mentor and pastor from a distance. thank you for following God´s call on your life, it is a great comfort to me that there are still pastors who love and seek God
Me Too, Happy Easter
You have deeply moved me as well! Thank you so very much Dr. Keller!
I feel the same way.
I agree. I went to redeemer for 14 years never met Tim but was inspired as like today. In a way I have met him and Jesus like I’ve never known because of deep contemplation into the word. I love to grasp and hold things now, beyond my 5 senses.
Beautiful. Concise. Encouraging.
Praise God! Will play this sermon at our family lockdown Easter Sunday morning service 🙂. So powerful and yet so simple that my children can understand 🙌🏾
I love Tim Keller's sermons! They are deep and revealing...and this is one of them! Thank GOD for faithful men in this deprave generation...
Intellectually stimulating, spiritually enriching, emotionally touching... tears of joy. I believe!
A great logical teacher.
The core of this message is classical orthodox Christianity.. The message is the unadulterated oratory found in the immediate aftermath of the resurrection…..All in the middle of NYC in the 21st century… in and of itself this is proof a profound historical event knows no time restriction and still changes lives .
😮 brilliantly conveyed
This is truly God speaking through an imperfect human with an uncommon knowledge and persuasion. God bless you Tim duriing your orderal of physical suffering.
This is the rich message I need
Excellent, heartfelt. Thoughtfull message!
Thank you Pastor Keller for a very powerful message about my risen Lord and Saviour! Bless you!
Thank you. I need an Easter sermon today.
That time Tim Keller started lecturing at the symphony and no one told him he was in the wrong room...
Wow ! It is so great
Thanking God that He finds us. Not the other way around.
Amen!
We find him, He already knew us before we were born. He just leaves breadcrumbs for us to wake up to
such a powerful message!
So rationally we’ll argued, clear and encouraging. Thank you.
Yup. I think that's his gift.
I could listen to Tim Keller all day! It's mesmerizing how much truth he shared in this brief sermon with only a few words. To God be the glory!
Btw, that quote from Shusaku Endo was really good; Endo wrote the very intriguing novel called "Silence".
Amen 🙏
This is a great msg with alot of deep thoughts... thank you pastor
Lovely, inspiring, great points well presented.
Id like to comment that i do believe that our heavenly father does reveal himself to those that are weak or those that strive to be Christ like.
I remember a time when i was graced by our heavenly father with an OVERWHELMING sence of peace, happiness and joy for simply helping out my wifes familys restaurant take out the trash at night like ive always done. It was so profound that i will always remember it. At the time i didnt understand it...and have since, longed to have that feeling again!
This sermon reminded me of that time...i havent been to church in a while as my work usually prevents me, but we(my family) have agreed to watch a sermon on tv or youtube together for family time on Sundays. Thank you for this video!
Excellent!
There are 3 versions of 'saw' in those passages. Verse 8- Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He 'saw' and believed. That word is (hor-ah-o) (to see with the mind and then believe by experiencing). . Mary saw, Simon Peter considered explanations, John experienced the seeing, and believed. I really enjoy Timothy Kellers messages. Happy Easter!
It seems Mary was faithless ,by everything she said, loving Jesus with a natural love. Until Jesus imparted faith to her by the word he spoke, leading her to obedience to the Word of God.
Praise the Lord with tribute and glory!!!
Amen
Not to be rude, but the musicians looked like they were in pain. I love listening to Pastor Keller and the depths of knowledge that GOD has gifted him.
I was fortunate to go with my daughter to Redeemer (West NYC) , he was on the East side that morning, by we were blessed none the less.
amen.
What is the significance of Mary delivered from seven evil spirits?
The Gospel is not remedial. Just go straight for Him.
I am the second ADAM
What verse in the bible says Jesus was arisen from the dead on easter show me the exact day mentioned in the bible if it's not there than what is the day of easter based on. Why that day? Why not another day? How do u know it was that day?
Arabic Alphabet The exact day isn't important. The fact that it happened is.
The exact day cannot be determined, however, remembrance of the resurrection is observed on Easter Sunday.
It was the Sunday after Passover
Not sure what you mean. Easter is defined as the day he rose from the dead. It didn't exist before that. He was buried on the day before the Sabbath, and Easter is the day after the Sabbath. The third day.
Struggling with the question is good, if there is a chance he is real and his claims are true, ask him and he will answer. (The day is specified, please read the text again in its entirety). But if you don't believe him to be true, the answer doesn't matter.
And the imams will say its gods sentence and they should become fanatics
that Asian kid with the violin looks like he really wants to get out of there...
i disagree. they are all listening. when i listened, i didnt have a big smile on my face. i was concentrating
