What a lovely curation Shreeraam !
It was a pleasure collaborating with you and Team Vaak for the listening session on Mukthamma.
This recording is with us thanks to Carnatica and Smt S Sowmya who took efforts to commercially archive this concert.
Looking forward to many more collabs soon.

Beautiful! Quite different from how Iyengarval used to handle it.
Very subtle anuswarams. Almost a madhyama shruthi rendition.
    Thank you for this!

I never understood what madhyama shruthi is. Could you explain the difference?

@@gautamprakash303in Indian classical music, S and P (1st and 5th tonic) are considered as anchor notes and are sung without any gamakkas.
In Madhyama Sruthi ragas, the S is shifted to M. Thus the M becomes the new S and the tharasthayi S becomes the new P.
Madhyama Sruthi is done for ragas that usually have limited scope.
