This is a gem of a city a short hop from Barcelona ...
Forget Barca and stay in Tarragona or as it was know by the Romans "Tarraco" , the capital of Roman Iberia .....
First visited by me as a nine year old kid in a Peugeot 403 with seven people in the car with tents on top for a three week stay in 1969 .
Just a beautiful place missed by so many......
Getting on the ferry from Newhaven and driving down through France into a different Andorra as it is today
was just an experience I loved...
Camping at "Camping Tarraco" a stones throw from the beach with its fine sand and crystal clear sea was the holiday of all holidays.....
Been back a few times over the years and although there have been changes I would still say it is my favourite place......
Wow, now that was an adventure! I can remember sleeping on the car parcel shelf travelling with my parents too
