Stayed in Tarragona for 3 days in 2018. Beautiful place. Wish I could go back.

Hi Tony! 😃
It sure was another enjoyable city tour!!! TARRAGONA is a must visit for future trips to Spain. I specially enjoyed the archeological sites. The lovely Roman mosaics was really astonishing!!! 👌
Thanks to Cecilia, we can compare and appreciate the enormity of the archaeological structures. 👍

Grazie per i sui favolosi video.
Grazie a te!
Thank you so much, we were fortunate enough to get to Tarragona this year. We saw every thing in this video and were suprised how close everything was. The train info was invaluabe. Also the cost for visting the attractions were extremely affordable for instance, all of the Roman ruins were 7.5 euros to see all 7 locations. Thanks again, this video made out stay all the more enjoyable ! On a personal note we were blown away by this beautiful small city. Every one should experiecne this slow paced gem !
We are delighted to hear you had such a great experience in Tarragona. It is truly a wonderful gem. All the best!
may I know how to get the tickets of 7.5euros for all 7 locations? I can't find it. can buy online?
@@cl2cllau763 we've put a link on the first fixed comment underneath the video. The price has gone up since we recorded the video as it includes more attractions. I don't think you can buy it online.
We bought our tickets at the entrance of the Forum, but It looked like very venue had the same ticket deal.@@cl2cllau763
that's good to know! it means I don't have to buy in advance. thank you!
Excellent
Top job Tony!!! Very comprehensive and informative. We really appreciate the effort and research you put into your videos.
Thank you, Paul, delighted to hear that. We try to be as informative and helpful as possible.
Excellent videos you have. Very informative and I appreciate the maps, the explanation of distances, among other things. Thank you
Delighted to hear that, thanks for your comment!
Thank you for your good job
Don't mention it!
I'm just back from Tarragona, after visiting there for the day from Salou. I wish I had seen this video, prior to my visit!
Great video, however. Keep up the good work
Thank you there. Well, it's always good to have reasons to return to a place you liked! All the best!
thanks, a very interesting film, but you forgot about a very important issue - the Roman aqueduct near Tarraco. I have been to Tarragona many times and it is a very important and interesting attraction. Regards
Thank you, we didn't forget it, we didn't include it as it is impossible to fit it along with the rest of the attractions on a day trip. An option for anyone staying longer in town.
Tony is the BEST!!!
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you sir for these vlog.you deserve more subscriber.
Thank you for your words. We try our best to be helpful!
The best site to visit is the Roman aqueduct. It’s fantastic.
Existe la Tarragona virtual romana en donde se ve toda la ciudad construida romana. Todas las estructuras y piedras que desaparecieron se utilizaron para construir la nueva ciudad medieval. Toda Tarragona contiene piedras de la ciudad romana.
Very nice video😊
Thank you, Priscilla!
No sabía que Tarragona era Tarraco 😂 Buen vídeo
👍
Hi, just wondering, Is there taxi charter tour service available at the Tarragona cruise port?
We don't know, but there will always be standard taxis waiting for arriving passengers.
I tried to use the Rodalies train today to go from Sitges to Tarragona. Sadly it was hopeless and I gave up. The automated ticket machines don’t list Tarragona as a destination even though it’s on the network.
Quite perplexed by that information, we've bought tickets to Tarragona endless times from the machines. When a problem with the machines happens, you can always use the manned ticket office.
Nobody was manning the manned ticket office. It was a mess. And it was a staff member who told me I couldn’t buy a ticket to Tarragona. I tried again the next day and successfully bought a ticket from the ticket office. But I’d been warned about the state of the Rodalies at my hotel and on that day the warnings were accurate. At least 2 scheduled trains didn’t turn up either.
It might well be you can buy a ticket from Barcelona machines because of the longer distance Renfe network. But the machines at Sitges only deal with the Barcelona region.
@roadtripsspainportugal
Are these trains included in the train passes? Or city passes? Or Renfe passes? Or is it a separate pay?
Which trains?
You mentioned the chance to walk on a roman road but I didn't see you explain where this was. I really love to touch history and walking on a road built 200o years ago is amazing. Also, why not mention the aqueduct, it is easily accessible by bus.
That's in the Foro de la Colonia. On a day trip you'll be pushed hard to cover all the places we've mentioned in the video, there is absolutely no time to include the aqueduct as well. We haven't mentioned every single point of interest in Tarragona, we've made a selection.
Hi, may I ask if we could walk to Part Alta after archaelogical walk, then placa de la font, pretorium, Cicr Roma, amphitheatre, colonial forum to make a round trip. Is this feasible?
We haven't got a ready-to-use itinerary, but all the attractions are very close to each other.
Thank you Tony.
Is there a webpage where I can find locals offering City tours?
You can try here: www.civitatis.com/en/tarragona/?aid=2167&cmp=YTENG
And what about the roman necropolis?? It's complusory to visit it too!! 😉
And the aqueduct too, but in a day, you won't be able to cover so much ground.
I watched video 136 about avoid Spain in summer. Do you think that applies to Tarragona this August 2024?
In regards to weather, yes. The province of Tarragona is one of the most touristic regions of the coast of Spain (mostly national holiday makers), but the city might be slightly quieter.
we plan to reach Tarragona in afternoon at 1pm by intercity train and leave the next day afternoon by speed train at 2pm to experience both trains
We are thinking of adding on devils bridge and even castell museum in Valls into our itinery. is this over ambitious? as we likely need to take bus, we wonder if we should get T10 instead of paying cash for each bus trip. can we have your advice on that? tq
and may I ask where to see the combined ticket. From the website, I can only find EURO 15 for joint individual ticket valid for 6 sites
As explained in the video, catching the high-speed train in Tarragona is a waste of time and money. You will struggle to see all the places we mention in the video in just one day, if you add new places you will need to add a night in Tarragona. T10 is a ticket valid for Barcelona. Tarragona is in a different province with different transport passes. You won't need the bus to visit Tarragona.
That's the current combined ticket on offer, new places have been added to the pass and as a result the price has gone up.
@@ROADTRIPSpainandPortugal
I regret that I didn't find out enough, thinking that this is to be bought in advance using trainline. I wasn't aware of regional train till just now. expensive lesson😅
@@cl2cllau763 we did our part, alerting our viewers about the high-speed train trap.
My wife and I plan to be in Tarragona over Easter weekend 2024. My wife is worried that the restaurants will be closed and we'll have nowhere to eat. Is this something to be concerned about?
No need to be concerned, Easter is a busy time and most restaurants should be opened.
Hi how far from salou
15 km.
Thank you looking forward to going
What is the best way to get a taxi in Tarragona?
Just stop in on the street.

You’ve just done so.
