- I've traveled to around 37 countries across the world, and when people find that out they often ask me what the most dangerous place is that I've been to.
My answer might surprise you.
In this 'Tales from the Road', I'm telling the story of the time we accidentally went to a ghetto and I saw something that changed my life forever.

For so many travelers, the most dangerous place ends up being the USA. Flying into LAX never made me feel like "It feels so nice to be home".

In '88 i had a layover at LAX. I got a cheap room in nearby Ingelwood. The taxi driver looked at me like i was nuts. I was ok.
Manila looked dicey.
We spent most our time in one of the nicer areas of Manila, and it still felt dicey.
I was in Florence Italy back in 1996 and was buying bread in a open air market outside of a church. I was so happy buying this beautiful rustic loaf of bread. I pay for it and turn around and directly behind me in line was a maybe 60 year old lady with a black moustache speckled with white and thicker than I can grow. Boom right there in my face, no warning. I stumbled slightly from the shock as I walked past the lady towards my girlfriend who was waiting a few feet away. Happy Travels
How was the bread?
USA seems dangerous. In the countryside, people do meth. A volunteer firefighter said most of the time you hear sirens, a meth lab blew up. I don't see how that's possible

Just returned from our trip in Cartierville, Canada to visit our relatives. Surprised to see many Asians who live there with huge grocery stores and restaurants. Live crabs and lobster are about Canadian $7 per pound . We feel much safer there than some of the US cities. Spring has sprung with a lot of rain and beautiful 🌺💐🌹. Weather is still around 70s here. NYC has a rather bad press but its far from being the most dangerous City in America or the World at large.. I lived there 1982-83-84, no problems though Ive been in Harlem, Bed Sty and I lived in the East Village, 9th St and 2nd Ave... FYI Im 100% Celt.

i believed there are dangers everywhere in the world. it depends on the location in the country for it to be dangerous. the world is not perfect. just be smart.

Pretty cheap flights Bangkok to Tashkent.
If you really don’t know… Layovers are places where you change planes during a trip and have a longer wait between flights

Yup been 31 countries. US definitely the most sketchy in my opinion. Visited LA twice and New York . BTW Uzbekistan is awesome safe as loved it

you should do a quick stopover in Kabul whilst you are in that region.. hundreds of youtuber are going there now.. it looks fantastic.. so much cleaner than the sub-Indian continent.. the Taliban are just normal people.. the US is now the pariah state of the world.. not the Muslim world..
Women aren’t treated as equals by the Taliban, so no they are NOT just normal people. Don’t support countries with tourism dollars if they don’t support basic human rights
