Join us on an epic Overland Land Cruiser adventure from Seattle to Salt Lake City! We ditch the highway and delve into the forgotten byways of the Pacific Northwest, uncovering hidden gems and soaking in steaming hot springs along the way.
Our journey kicks off with views from the Westport Viewing Tower and Cape Disappointment State Park, where we witness a fiery sunset. Then onto throwing balsa wood airplanes from the Astoria Column, chuckle at the quirky art of Painted Rock Beach, and marvel at the towering Haystack Rock.
Epic Lunch at the legendary Tillamook Creamery before hitching a ride on the scenic Wheatland Ferry. History buffs rejoice at Powerland Heritage Park, while a mysterious fork in the road piques our curiosity.
Sahalie Falls Viewpoint was the gateway to Bend, and we transform McMenamins Old St. Francis School into our own quirky castle for the night. The High Desert Museum shows the rich tapestry of the region, and Hole In The Ground Vista Point offers a heart-pounding descent.
Relaxed it up at Alvord Hot Springs, where we soak under the stars and witness a magical sunrise. The geothermal wonders continue at Borax Hot Spring, Willow Creek Hot Springs, and Paradise Valley Hot Spring, each offering a unique experience.
The coolest place we've ever encountered? The Midas Bighorn Saloon! Stepping back in time in this tiny town (population: 11!) was an unforgettable experience. From history lessons to live music, we are going to make it a point to hit this one again.
Our adventure concludes in the bustling heart of Salt Lake City. Buckle up for breathtaking scenery, forgotten history, unexpected encounters, and an off the beaten path adventure.
