Dude,
If you don’t want to spend $12K and get all the options, then just buy a Rubicon. The Rubicon X just has it all in a package.
Picked mine up last evening!
Identical to the one you reviewed!
Love it!
My main takeaway from this is we have a 4 cylinder Wrangler for almost 70k.
And you would think that someone buying a Rubicon who then ALSO decides to go with 35’s from the factory is planning on doing some serious wheeling. Why would Jeep make them also pay for leather seats and an upgraded infotainment system? Oh that’s right, because loading vehicles up with fluff like that is how car companies make the real money.
And as someone who had to replace the windshield on his JK every 8 months due to rock strikes, the decision to incorporate the antenna into the windshield ranks as one of the best middle fingers to the consumer of the last 10 years.
it's absolutely fantastic. the only 2 things are really heartbreaking: those two things are: 1. no 360-cam. and 2. horrible second row seats. especially the back of the seat of the second row absolutely horrible. I mean specifically the recline position of the back of the seat just 6-inches more recline would make those seats absolutely normal for just 15cm would make it totally different story.
Your reviews are really helpful !!!
I’ve owned a few wranglers and my favorite was the 2020 Rubicon Recon edition. It was equipped with everything including the sky view one touch roof but it had 33s. We enjoyed it a lot. Paid right at 60k plus taxes and fees for it and got almost what i paid for my 2015 Rubicon on trade in after almost six years of driving it. I had lifted it and put 37s and put nice wheels and steel bumpers and step rails on it though. Spent more time on the trails in the 2015. The 2020 was basically a pavement princess that was much better to travel in.
You can get just the Xtreme Recon pkg with a base Rubcion. You can option the standard Rubicon with base options, cloth seats, etc and add the Xtreme recon pkg for $3995.
Not in Canada unfortunately
@@andrewblewski7926 that sucks
@@andrewblewski7926 okay then buy in New York and drive it over.
I agree. A base model with an optional upgraded suspension and tire package without all the other (luxury) options for those who only want the utility. Ditto the Gladiator. Good review!
One thing I noticed on the build and price (at least in Canada) you can no longer option leather seats on the rubicon, the only way to get leather seats in the rubicon is to order the X for an extra 10k
I don't hear any road noise while I'm driving my 23 Rubicon with the Xtreme Recon group.......oh that's right I have that Alpine system cranked up full blast😝
And yet you can still buy the extreme 35 package on the base Rubicon and Willy’s. Not forcing you to buy the “X” package to get the 35’s. Now the painted roof and fenders is a different story. You are forced to buy the X package to get those.
Just got a manual 2 door rubicon x with 4.88 gears...I like it..
As a fellow 392 owner, if I were to buy a 2nd Jeep for the household, the one in this review is very enticing. I like the turbo 4. But you are correct, getting the tire and suspension upgrades without the bells and whistles should be an option. Is the extreme recon package still available as a stand alone? Not sure if the package you just reviewed translates to the Gladiator, but if we are talking about Gladiators a good setup would be suspension and tire upgrades from the factory - and basic inside. At least for me (having previously owned a ecodiesel that I essentially built into that spec).
Ur up early as usual~ greetings from Las Vegas!
If Beefstew is at $1.00 per can, it can be done, but not over night.😂
Jeep looks sick
Also I’m first
Jeep should offer that package with upgraded steering components (drag link, tie Rod, ball joints, etc.). Now that would be great package!
My 2012 Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited was a factory order from Larry H. Miller in Provo. In 2017 I shipped my Rubicon to the Hawaiian Island of Molokai. Where Ruby went, Andy was certain to follow. Thus we moved full time to Molokai---into a house rather than the condo we had owned. I've toyed with the idea of buying another Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon and, certainly, one of these days I'll do just that. But next Jeep will not be purchased from Larry H. Miller in Provo, Utah. Frankly, I would opt for the Rubicon X-package as I know it also includes uprated brakes and suspension components to go with the larger, heavier wheels and tires. My wife, however, might have second thoughts about the 35's, as it would mean a bit more of a hike for her to get in and out of than she already has with our 2012 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. (L.H. Miller's service department made some $10,000 plus worth of mods on my Rubicon after it arrived in Provo. All of their modification work was first-rate. What I didn't care for with their service department was in the way they handled my wife each time she took her 2014 Grand Cherokee Overland diesel in for service, usually with a clogged diesel exhaust particulate filter. We sold that Grand Cherokee---because of all its emissions problems---rather than ship it to Molokai, an island without a single new car dealership for any brand.) Nice video! Thank you for this first-rate presentation! We love our Rubicon! Andy McKane, Maunaloa, Molokai, Hawai.
Yeah...I was really excited to have the option of 35s from the factory, not having to spend 100k on a 392. I definitely just want the 35s without all the other upgrades which serve no purpose for me. Disappointing.
That rear bumper can NOT take a hit. The front is solid, but that rear will easily fold. You're actually better off with the rear plastic bumper because it won't damage the body as badly when it eats shit from an impact.
When you get the extreme 35 package is the Jeep lifted more than the standard rubicon? Thanks
If you wanted honest opinions about the Rubicon X that were positive rather than negative, why did you remove my comments. I am one of your subscribers and have liked your reviews.
If you want a lift and 35s and want to keep a factory warranty you better buy it from the factory. Stellantis is notorious for denying warranty claims for modifications. Depends on dealer, but speaking generally.... Also, up front cost may be higher, but resale value will be much better as well.
Yep
Sahara has 255/70/18 tires which are 32”.
Only 30k over MSRP for this one at the dealer website. What a deal!!!!
You were probably looking at a Rubicon 392 and not a Rubicon X. No one is marking Rubicon X's up by 30k
@@Joncartervoiceovers Makes sense then
What size of lift is on it ?
Can I switch to 37s with the X package?
I just looked at a new 2024 two door without the 35 inch tires. It had the hard top and factory winch. It was 62 grand. Yuk!
It went off the deep end when price's jumped $20k
2024 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JL Rubicon X 4X4!
Full floating rear axel is over rated. My 24 Rubicon has a tow rating of 3500lbs at best. Where does the 5000k tow rating come from?
See if you can find a 2-door Rubicon X to review
What is Gorilla Glass?
Is the price in Canadian dollars?
Moreover, how come the price in the mail jeep web is too higher
Jeep ❤
I stop the video sent you pop the hood and said a four-cylinder.
"It iz what it t i iz!
Jeep wins EVERY time because of the 1 TOUCH, you just can not get with Ford!! 😄😄
That think sounds like a damn hairdryer. Pentastar or Hemi all the way
I agree with you; we got that 2.0 in a Jeep Cherokee and it does sounds weird. The bad thing is that motor is direct injected and dumps waste oil back into the intake. I did the first oil change on the 2.0 yesterday. I wish that I had purchased one of those special spin off oil filter wrenches for it Some gorilla at the factory--as always--socked that puppy on good. And I had to remove the engine skid plate to get in there and muscle it off!
I still feel that the Jeeps are way over-priced. But I think its demand and supply thing.
You don’t have to think - they ARE overpriced. This should be mid 50s at most.
Myself, I don't like leather seats in jeep they get hot with the top off ? 35 tires would be ok 👍 most people usually do put bigger tires on anyways? 12000 for tires and lift kit is a little steep. Speaker in the rear floor...I can already see how that's gonna work with dirt and sand or gravel . Mirrors on doors, when you taking doors off ...Now, no mirrors ? And , I do wish 🤞 they'd find away to lock 🔐 the hood and gas cap ...The gas cap especially. Cause, little kids or big ones 🤔 Can put dirt and things down in the gas tank and that cost the company and owners money 💰 ? That could of been avoided. Cause, I treat my new jeep 🚙 like the owner of the company would..Dust free and shiny ✨️ and that keeps the cost down for all of us ? I don't have much criticism maybe just the price and common sense of things. Put the mirrors back on the jeep 🚙 and put a lock 🔐 on the hood and gas tank and save the company and owners some money 💰 🤑
Great video, but I downvoted because you're speaking obnoxiously too fast.
So beautiful 🥰💯❤
@Brian_Eugene_Lee Yes, of course. Ben, I wish you success always, and thank you for your beautiful car channel "!!?👍🏻🥰💖
And the second you drive your new Jeep off the lot it lost ~25% of its value. Have fun.
So you cannot get the extreme package on the 2 door?
$70,000 for a Jeep is ridiculous and they price them out if you want any type of accessories on them they get you in the wallet I look at buying a Jeep about a month ago and I could not come across one that had any type of accessories without having a $60,000 to $70,000 Jeep what happened 2 Jeep be in the affordable four-wheel drive
CEOs said they are trying to make Jeep a luxury brand. Thus them adding bells and whistles and the high price tag.
$67K for a Jeep, times have changed. I'll keep my 2014 JKUR-X until it dies.
100k for the 392 lol
It’s now the only way to get a color matched hard top. What a dumb decision.
these things are toys & @ that price its insane buy a side by side for 25k be happy af once you turn 35 a wrangler sucks as a daily........SUCKS!!!
67k for a four cylinder jeep.. No thank you. lol
can you speek a litle slower???? to much coffee?
Yeah what is going on rattle
Mouth,
Please stop talking so fast. Really great videos and content but there is no reason to talk so fast.
