#gear reduction #sxs #rzr
Would love to see this again when you do Josh’s, but in more detail with the individual gears as you replace them. If you’re up to do a complete A-Z tutorial I think it’d help a lot of people (me included) who are considering this.
Use bread instead of grease, sounds like a joke but actually works and easy to clean.
Nice to see more folks doing this at home. Im so ready. 35's are killing my belt
As you take apart take a picture, easy reference.
Nice to see another Turbo S get modded on the channel 👍🏽👍🏽
Great job guys and I should also lil ladies. I must’ve missed the video of Josh getting his RZR, so congratulations on the new ride and hope to see a video of it soon
I was just asking Billy questions earlier about this on FB. Great stuff guys! 🤙🏻
Used bread instead of grease on the puller. Just jam it into the hole. Waaay easier cleanup👍🏻
Get better snap ring pliers. Also to get a gear over a shaft, use heat, toss that gear in the oven or on the grill or in front of your space heater, get it hot then it will usually drop right on.
Good job billy, thats awsome bro, can not wait to see it climbing threw some spicy situations now LOL...just in time too "belt life's matter"....josh's turn now also!🤙
Great information video guys! And wow looks like a perfect match for Tippy! Josh next?
Get ahold of kb3. They have gear reduction, drive line, and transmission parts.
35’s here we come!!!
Great vid!!! You guys crack me up!! Makes for great content. Keep them coming!!
As normal vary good job! Keep it up the good work you 3.
I feel like this video is gonna get a lot of views!!
It’s fine to use an impact. Most of the time the primary will come off without the grease. Grease just makes a mess to clean up. Lol. I put a light coat of grease on the threads of the tool is all. Can’t wait to see this thing rip with the reduction. 35s next? Lol
35s are coming 😏
@Ronnie Baker depends. Did he do 33% in low by itself? Doesn’t the 12.5% in high and reverse also adds to what he did in low? So did he do 21.5% in low to get a 33% in low, or did he do 33% in low which should give him 46.5% total in low? I could be wrong, but I think what you do for high and reverse, is a reduction for everything, not just high and reverse.
Thanks guys
I see knipex and Milwaukee tools, nice choice!
Can't go wrong with either!
I've been told no impact on primary. But yea im just gonna send it.
Your're right using an impact could damage your crankshaft.
Great video quality ..... Good job guys
Bread instead of grease . Much cleaner......a couple hot dog buns will work
I need a traitor pull over hoodie in 2XL or 3xl not a fan of zipper hoodies.. tee spring only has traitor pull over up to xl
They’re out of stock Right now due to the holidays! Sorry man
BREAD USE BREAD 🥖!!! No grease
How is it I keep watching your vids, and after I keep finding ways to blow my wages ;) . You dont have your front sway bars on, so do you never race it about much ?. I'm now considering doing the gear reduction as I find the low gear pointless in stock setup. Thanks guys, I'm gunna be eating baked beans outa the tin for a month
Thanks for posting!!
Question.....did you support the engine prior to unbolting the trans? Block of wood or something like that??
Looks very similar to a 2014 XP 1000 trans removal....except no reverse chain...amen!
Would have been a good time to upgrade the Chinese bearings to Japanese as well....too bad you didn't show the process of removing bearing and gears for those without that experience.
hellow can you give the order number of that plate
goes into the gearbox, I can't find it back like you said
Just go to rock ready UTV and search in the turbo transmission parts it'll be there
is it a 12% reduction in high? the link says its 7%, just wanting to make sure before i buy. thanks.
I was just wondering the same thing went to order it and it says 7% in high nothing about reverse
Like these type of videos
Did Billy ever find out find out the top speeds in low & high?
You interested in coming to work on my Turbo S? Trying to be ready for DTOR here in a few weeks. Lost front wheel drive over the weekend at Brimstone.
Would put one in mine
how would that new gear reduction you installed compare to the 55% gear reduction in the Polaris trails and rock?
How did you get to the one stubborn nut on the transmission near the engine? Seems like a socket is too much and wrench won't get to it
I’m guessing you are talking that 15mm stuffed under the inter cooler i was able to get a wrench on it they aren’t on very tight and use a impact from the clutch side.
Xpt 4 str with ranger low
Still wondering if Billy would be willing to sell the stock rear plastics from his turbo. Get ahold of me. Thanks.
what you looking for? Pm me on my Facebook

Awesome Jobs guys. Billy I'm not a Polaris fan boy but that's one sweet ride you have now. Now I'm jealous. That gear reduction is that cats ass . Hold that tail up and get a look at that ! SHES GONNA BE A CRAWLING BITCH NOW FOR SURE. Good call on that stiffer plate upgrade while you were knee deep . Cant wait to she how it performs now. I really enjoyed the vid and looking forward to the next line up. Oh and Love my T shirt. More on my Christmas list.
Which clip did you put in the wrong spot? About to do mine and don’t wanna make the same mistake
Don't put grease on clutch removal tool/bolt
I think the rock and trails had different ratios than the others also.
Are you guys from Indiana? The reason I ask is bc I’ve seen a few videos of the badlands in Attica.
No we are from southern Wisconsin
Are you still happy with the % you went with? And did you need to change stock clutching?
Just curious if your able to do just low range gear reduction or does it have to be high and low?
You can do just low but will only give you 21 percent reduction
I don’t have a turbo s but I’ve been thinking about gear reduction to run 34 or 35’s on the stock xp1k how did you decide what percentage to go with?
Just did research and math on what I thought would be best for me
What brand is the cage on your RZR, it’s awesome!
So question. Was that basically the gears out of a4 seater since they have a lower ratio??
4 seater high and reverse gear and ranger low gear
Nice
Hey billy do you think that’s enough gear reduction for 35s? Doing the riding you guys go ? Or even for Moab? The next reduction is 56 debating If I want to go that low I’m on 35s
You running a 2 seater or 4 seater? I think for the 2 seater it'll be perfect and will be testing my theory very shortly once my 35s show up but 4 seater with the extra weight I'd say do the 56 that's what seems most people do
@@BlownBudgetOffroad thanks it’s a 2 seater. You will love the 35s it’s honestly easier on the rig in a way my buddy’s are snapping axles on stuff I can just bump up no problem
I’m doing a 47% low, 22% high, 26% reverse in my turbo s right now so I can run 35s.
What is the part number for the pinion gear plate and did you do a clutch alignment
I'm not Shure I bought it from rock ready UTV should be able to find it there
Sandcraft makes one too.
Is the transmission the same on a 2019 Turbo S as your 2020 Turbo S??
I would like to do the same thing.
Good job
Yes it is
@@BlownBudgetOffroad thanks man
How did it affect top speed?
I do a lot of crawling myself would y’all recommend the same gear reduction or would a little lower be better?
I think it is perfect crawls awsome and still has wheel speed when you need it
Do you plan on going larger then 32’s? I believe one thing for your viewers to consider is the Turbo S came with an advertised 32 direct from the factory. So, the % of total reduction runs true with the S.
Where as a regular XPT that comes with 29’s & jumps up to a 32 which is roughly a 9.4% jump in tire size. So, the feel of a “36%” low may be different for them & require a little clutch work or even the consideration of a different gear setup.
A lot of different scenarios people have to consider when planning their setup. Nice job, I believe you’ll really enjoy that reduction overall.
Did y'all line the engine and transmission back up or just put it back together just curious
just bolted it back in using the sequence Polaris recommends
@@BlownBudgetOffroad just to let you know when I had mine apart it was way off I bought a sdi clutch alignment tool to get it right just wanted to give y'all a heads up
I just looked to see if the secondary was spinning at idle in neutral and it wasn't so should be good
@@BlownBudgetOffroad mine was fine so I thought just keep an eye on the belt I went threw 3 then I lined it and it fixed the problem hope everything works great for y'all great video
Why did you chose this gear reduction kit over other brands?
It's all oem gears
U guy need to use a hotdog bun instead off grease make less off a mess
What limit strap kit are you running on Billy’s rzr?
Sandcraft
Did you guys not use a clutch alignment tool?
No we did not it's not
@@BlownBudgetOffroad you happy with this perfect of reduction? I’m tired of smoking belts
Who did your cages? I went back in your vids and tried to find them but I couldn’t. Just picked up a 2021 Turbo S4 and need a cage. Preferably in the Midwest as I’m in Michigan.
Justin frasure from RZR sharp customs built them he is in northern Kentucky by Cincinnati
Rzr Turbo S & Canam X3 Custom Bouncer Style Roll Cages
That’s the video showing off the cages
@@BlownBudgetOffroad thank you.
How much did it change your top speed in low?
It'll do about 40 now stock was over 60
🏆🏆🏆👍🙏
Thank you for sharing
🎄❄️🎅⛄
You go boy!!! It's crazy that what they build them for would have such a high gear for low. She's gonna crawl now man. Be safe you crazy suuuuun bich.✌
Trying to think of a smart ass YXZ comment...🤔
Should of replaced the junk bearings while you were in there.
Right replace the chineseum bearings with Japanese bearings
What did the top speed in low end up at?
It goes 45 and that’s about limiter. Billy
What size tires on Tippy?
They are 32s
@@BlownBudgetOffroad they looked bigger then Josh’s tires. Thanks.
@@BlownBudgetOffroad hopefully soon to be 35,s. Lol
Do you know off the top of your head if this is the same for a 2020 pro xp?
It should be
